Why feed a horse in a dirty container? Would you eat off a dirty dish? ... I don't think so! Some of the NYC horses are clearly sad, heads hung low and I wonder if it's because their owners/carriage handlers mistreat them? NYC needs to do the right thing for their horses, Council woman Quinn, please help the cities horses - NYC has a black eye by you doing nothing

most of the time, food is in something.. but some owners doesn't think of it, as some owners on farms... There's no difference. it's not beacause a horse work in the streets instead of in a paddock that he's mistreat...

that looks like horse urine- not dirty water- they do have to go pee once in a while- poop too.....I see he/she has a bucket to eat out of-- looks ok to me--- How would you suggest the driver clean up urine-?

jamie2628-In my small town of Ocean Grove, New Jersey, summertime every day has a horse drawn carriage, working from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or longer, especially weekends. Says Ms Semanchik of Precious Moments carriages to me, Molly-has Chronic Laminitis, Founder, and a rotating hoof coming away from the bone. But it dosen't hurt. There are no equine vets to examine them. Just the ASPCA who cannot stop them unless the temp reaches 90 degrees. There were no witnesess to her casual comments to me.

don't think a city pavement really suits a horse. Saw someone beating a pony at a beach in UK once cuz it was freaked out by some pain in the ass kids! Beach is a bit nicer environment i suppose but still, they are just used to make money :(

They don't care about their horses, barely know how to look after them. Ok so the horses look 'fit' well, well done people, they have to be to pull a cart arounnd. Ok, so they get a little bucket of water? What happens at the end of the week? I have seen cases of neglect where they get a normal sized bucket of water to last them a week, when they run out, its left for the next week fill up, other cases, they get a normal feed once a week, onkly gd thung, hay everyday :)
