i at first learned of what happened to you through others here on you tube, then i saw the Australien Story video, So i am assuming June 4th was the day she came to visit you in Brisbane.You picked a Great time to feature this video because the one year anniversary of June 4th is tomorrow where you are.

Will you guys attempt to meet up once each year? With the Gold coast gathering coming up, that would be another great time for her to visit you.

No, June 4th was the day she left and the last time I would ever see her. That date will always be "one of those days" for me I think CS. Sometimes love isn't enough and happy endings reserved only for film and television. I'm so grateful though we shared the time we did. I'd be less of a person now if we hadn't.

Came back to watch this again. This time more critically and less emotionally. Technically this is really excellent work. Of course, you had good footage to start with, but the editing is outstanding and the choice of music was superb. It really captures the mood, the tone, of the images. You've got some really great shots of Shannon here. Truly shows off her inner beauty. Good job !! :)

Ahh..Hadn't seen this yet. Dude all I can say you're one lucky man. You got yourself a very pretty lady there. It definetly feels odd witnessing this kind of stuff happening for real. Like OctoberRoad said, it's almost like watching a movie. Even though I'm pretty detached from any sort of active community life here, it always strikes me when I get to see the "real things" happening within the community.. somehow the people and things come just more real through it (when we are in the internet.)

Ref: Capturing the magic and getting the courage. We can often miss things in the translation and the way things transpire.

You were both cautious and guarded...you both need time to let it all sink in and allow the real feeling to surface one by one. I was all fur-klempt for the most part and don't know if that suit will even fit for the wedding.

Every time it gets to the part where the plane is taking off over the Brisbane sign, I get a lump in the back of my throat. You really did a great editing job on this, by the way. Dan, I can feel your pain in missing her. Shannon is a very special lady. You are lucky to have her heart. Savor the moments you have, for they are really all you ever have, except for the memories. I had a special lady, but cancer is cruel and heartless, and 49 is very young in the larger scheme. It was never easy. It never is. Yet somehow the presence of the beloved and the flow of love makes it all worthwhile. You have something very special. Cherish it. It will all work out with time.

Time is always an interesting thing. It creates just as much as it destroys. All we really have is right now. I need to learn that as much as anybody because I tend to live life with my head either firmly in the past or too far into an imagined future which may never exist.

That is the lesson I am struggling to learn. I have lived all my life in the future, most of which never materialized. Since Martha's death I have lived in the past. Now my challenge is to live in the present without regard to past or future. Changing old habits of thinking is not easy, but necessary if I am to live my life in truth.
