  • Guys Always Wanted Peaceful Music When Doing Homework? Try My No:3 Symphony. Not Really A Trial.

  • I was expecting a scary picture to pop up at 0:31. Still, a great symphony and a cute piglet.

  • I had to analyse this in music class once as in, discuss with reference to [insert two of the concepts of music perhaps tone and expressive techniques?] how the composer creates a whimsical sense of humour. I remember laughing uncontrollably on the first listen for some reason.

  • Beautiful music and picture.

  • aaawwwwww!!!!!!!! a baby pig!!!

  • Got shocked at 0:32 *lol*

  • @luticia same lol

  • @luticia AH HA! Datz why it's called 'The Surprise'!!

  • Babe needs to get plumper by next morning

  • why is there a fucking pig in this video?

  • ´cause its cute and innocent. jUST like the music you heard

  • @hadoukenspazam1

I have it in music now and i´ll hate it ... i can´t finde the opposite between classial and romance

  • ohh i know eh? it was funny during my exam, i anticipated it and coverd my ears in time, but unluckyly for one person he sat the closest to the speakers he shat himself LOL! i cant remember, because this was since grade 9, and this year i leared the differences between renosance and classical but thats more easier to compare

  • @MsBonnieful What do you mean?

  • lol my music teacher was playing this for us to remeber stuff for a listening test, and i keep being a dead give away because everyone looks at me to see if i jump when the surprise happens :P like one time i had my pen in my hands and its startled me and my pen shoots outa my hands and lealy decks someone LOL

  • that pig looks so cute...as the crowd

  • I love playing this LOL the look on peoples faces priceless

  • <3333333333333333333

  • WOw!! are you crazy! you own more than 600 of his cds??????

That'S freaking amazing that he has so much!! and why is he greater than others?

  • @allofrankiebaby I own more than that. You either get Haydn or you don't. Give me him over any other composer any day especially Mozart.

  • Haydn IS THE master. One day everyone will love the man and his music as much as I do.

In 1987 I heard the Suprise. I never looked back. I own 600+ Haydn Cds and I still don't have all his works (shame on me).

In this andante with variations it's clear just how far Haydn had already gone towards the world of Beethoven.

  • SWINE FLU! lol...

  • ... shat my pants at 0:32...

  • I second that. it got me twice already.

  • Thanks for the warning!

  • when i first time listened this music i was scared because of surprise xd

  • I love this song...perfect...THIS IS MUSIC !! :D

  • the piggy is SOOOO cute

  • ich mag es <3

  • anyone know when this peice was written, recorded?

and where it was written and recorded?

  • Haydn wrote the symphony in 1791 in London for a concert series he gave during the first of his visits to England (17911792). The premiere took place at the Hanover Square Rooms in London on March 23, 1792, with Haydn leading the orchestra seated at a fortepiano. Maybe Lina Gurkan can answer the part about the recording.

  • I like the piggy

  • In my class of music everybody represent a music and I'm Haydn!! I love his music!!!

  • Franz Joseph Haydn did so great with this song!

  • This is a very happy song. i needed to listen this for homework. But im enjoying this. im making homework while listening this! ^_^

  • i like classical guys 2

    but sluts r lookers

  • Today music is an industry influence by sluts what used to be influence by music gods like beethoven and Mozart, if you think mozart and beethoven sucks you do not have any class..

  • You see Hammad, what MOST people fail to realise is,No composer sucks. Its the musician that plays it badly.

  • totaly agree

    Hammad313

  • Haydn is greater than either of those composer particularly WAM. A God? Not in my opinion.

  • retard

  • my friends make fun of me when I'm listenin to classical. can I love listening to hip hop AND classical at the same time?

  • yes you can ;D so do i :)

  • Sure, why not? They're just retards that doesn't even know what classical music is. Tell them they have ugly teeth.

    Or something.

  • lol!

  • Bro,believe it or not,i'm a Tuba player,Double-bass player and a semi-Conductor,but i still do gigs for clubs,as i'm a turntablist.

You see,Music are appreciated at diff time by diff people via diff moods. If you enjoy Hip-hop,you also could enjoy jazz/classical/pop at the same time.

For people like me,i incorporate different ideas i get from each genre to help me music wise, for eg. I can improvise a score to a more 'Hip-hop' feel for diff occasions.

So be urself bro,do what you feel.

  • you're a semiconductor? so you carry electric currents?

  • Ha-Ha,great try . =)

  • cuantas obras compuso hayden ?????

  • a variation of this is going to be used for the 2009-2010 Texas Music Educator Association(TMEA) French Horn Try-out music. It was posted just a couple of hours ago. I can't wait to play it! Sounds great & musical like I had hoped for! :)

  • sangat bagus!

    bijaksana!

    i love it

  • Haydn a genius of music. He makes me smile. Now that is love.

  • such a cute piggy ^_^ i love the picture !!! and the surprise as well :))

  • i really like this piece. I played it as part of an junior group at the royal northern colledge of music and played 1st violin which was kinda hard lol

  • We've had to learn bout Haydn back in music classes in school. The story bout this symphony is, that one by one the intruments fade n stop. Haydn n the other musicians were all to work n work for that rich count in what is now hungarian territory n he didn't wanna let Haydn n the other musicians go home, so in kinda protest, Haydn wrote this symphony with a surprise, that more n more instruments would fade n they lwould leave one by one. They eventually got their right to go home *lol*

  • nope, you're describing symphony no. 45, the "farewell" symphony.

there's also a story behind this movement of the surprise symphony though. haydn was miffed at the rich royal patrons always nodding off during the music, so he composed this movement to deceptively lull them into a peaceful slumber, only to shock them awake with the occasional loud parts. nice way of getting back at the blue-bloods, making them look like idiots.

  • Ok must have mixed that up...ong toime ago, at least 14 years when we learned aout Haydn or maybe our teacher got it wrong, as 90-something is still in my mind...strangely...

    Anyway thx fpr the info!

  • When Haydn wrote this symphony, people didn't listen very carefully to the music. So he wrote this funny symphony. It's a good idea!

  • esta buy bueno

  • all classical music dont have to be a plod and hard going as this proves it can be fun and a joy to listen to as this is thanks hydn

  • tres bien!

    very good!

a very humorous, innocent joke, with which the great Haydn wanted to get the attention of the less interested auditors.

  • Thank you for nice work!

    This "Babe" is so cute!

And This music is so humorous though the title is "Surprise"...

Surely, Haydn and you made wfat is the pleasant work!

  • Cute picture. For some reason, it made my day.

  • swine

  • why a pig?

Saludos. México.
