  • If my old fan is on a wall control and my new fan is a remote fan, should I leave the old controller on?

  • @c903jerk Installing a new fan not according to manufacturer instructions can void the warranty. And potential become a hazard. But ultimately the decision is yours.

  • How do you install a ceiling fan or light in a spot that doesnt have the wiring there?

  • @asdfxyz1 We will be coming out with that video in the future. It's a little to complicated to explain here, other than speak to a licensed electrician, know your local building codes. And then install a new switch, if your box will fit it. If not install a new box. Run your wire up inside the wall through the attic. Then install a metal reinforced junction box in your desired location. Be sure to make all connections inside a box as well as use approved wire connectors.

  • Can you make a video of it on 4 speeds?

  • @jonahmusto Thats a great idea however we found that video does not properly showcase the different speeds. Once the fan gets to a certain speed it all looks the same. I can tell you that on high speed the airflow is significantly higher that most other fans. You can actually hear the air moving. It moves a lot of air! I hope that helps.

  • @BuildDotCom Brent Holland, I got a Hapton Bay Landmark Plus 42" ceiling fan on Sept 13th, 2011. Is that cool? Please tell me!

  • @cellphonzrock Hampton Bay fans are designed to be affordable. With ceiling fans, you get what you pay for. It should work just fine for you, but will need to be replaced in the future. In my opinion there are better fans out there. Thanks for the question.

  • @BuildDotCom You're welcome.

  • @BuildDotCom That old brownish ceiling fan you took down, is that a Hampton Bay?

  • @cellphonzrock It sure was.

  • @BuildDotCom Oh okay. How is the new fan? Is it powerful?

  • @cellphonzrock It is great! Moves a lot of air.

  • @BuildDotCom You're being too diplomatic, tell him they are horrible and he should return it.

  • @cellphonzrock NO! There is a reason the people on here call them CRAPton. You just wasted your money. Watch some YT, videos everyone on here is replacing them because they SUCK!

  • @BuildDotCom Can you make a video of how to install a ceiling fan remote control? I'd love that.

  • You replaced the crapton bay huntington III with 60" Emerson Heat Fan.

  • @jonahmusto Actually that is an Emerson Loft ceiling fan, a household ceiling fan that is intended to resemble a Heat Fan.

  • @MTLTV1765 Actually jonahmusto was right. It was a hampton bay huntington III. It said hampton bay on the side.

  • @FanOfVacuums2 The new ceiling fan (not the Hampton Bay) is an Emerson Loft.

  • @MTLTV1765 Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you ment the first fan.

  • I give you kudos on replacing a crappy Hampton Bay ceiling fan with a quality Emerson ceiling fan.
