there's 100's in metro phx. the story is that a lady had a flight knocked over during a monsoon in the 90's!!!! there are 3 to 7 in tempe by ash and university probably college students releases but there are 40 to 60 around the pinchoy thomas 27th st area and a flock of 400+ in east mesa !!
ive had my peachfaced lovebird for over 14yrs... never been able to figure out if its a he or she... ive always assumed male bc its very bright in color and always just "seemed" male. please let me know if you have any ideas! thanks! and btw, i put a parakeet in with him/her and they fussed a little at first but now they are buddies... its cute :)
One way you can tell is how they sit on their perch. I do believe the female sits with her feet further apart and the males sits with his closer together. This held true with my lovebirds. Good luck
ok someone plz tell me.. cuz i have one... cuz he was the only on of his kind there.. so should i by him a friend? cuz i want him to have kids... someone email me or tell wat u think i should do
Yes, they were outside in Tucson, AZ. They survived more than one winter. Southern Arizona climate is not unlike the Angola area from which the originated.
hi i have two love birds i have have them noy 1 year and i am afraid to let them be outside and flew away is it a good ide to let the be free for the firs time in ther life to be outside but i am afraid to lose them i it a good ide to let them be outside
we bought 2 six-week old baby lovebirds. But then looking at them playing in their cage, i pity them w/o so much space to spread their wings. So i one day, closed the windows & door in our living room, then let them fly out. At first they are hesitant to come out, and i shove them out. Now after 4 weeks, they come out & get inside their cage all by themselves. Try it, your birds will be happier! what are their wings for?? let them fly.
I also have a green peachfaced lovebird. i had 2 but then they flew away they stayed at the creak behind our house and we got one back. Now the birdy is sooo cute not still loud. We taught him some sounds like manamanam
haha this video is funny

Its a male. I knew mine was a female when it laid unfertilized eggs one day.

Thanks! This pair were totally wild. They just started visiting our backyard a few years ago and gifted us with their antics and family for awhile.
