Makhdoom Sajjad Hussain Qureshi (father of Shah Mehmood) supported Bhutto in 1970s, after his death he supported Zia and even became governer Punjab for 1985-1988. Shah Mehmood joined PML in 1986, became part of Nawaz Sharif cabinet in Punjab from 1988-1990. Went to PML (J) in 1990 and again became provincial minister under Watto.
