I have to admit, I am a Penguins fan but enjoy watching the Flyers when they are on TV. Listening to Kate Smith just reminds me of how a national anthem should be performed and the class she did it with. My father always talked about Kate Smith and how great she was and I can now understand and appreciate that. She is certainly in a league of her own and the Flyers fans seemed to adore her. She is a gem and is sorely missed!!

As a dedicated Flyer fan, I saw this combination of Hart/Smith at the home opener years back after 9/11 and it brought tears to my eyes, really and I don't cry much!
