@evajom1 I was pretty disappointed - especially given the risk involved! In 1987 I spent several days photographing the wall from the west and that went missing as well. Some pictures from March 1990 have turned up so I might post them here one day - when I get round to it!
Nice footage,I've cycled from Las Vegas to The Grand Canyon(on a slightly different route)but i lost my film of it.I've got a Geordie friend who cycled through Arizona and they thought he was Swedish.Did you have the same problem?.
@evajom1 Nice story and i sympathise. In 1982 I photographed the Berlin Wall from the eastern side only to find out that I had not put the film in correctly!! I also like cycling as you may have noticed. Fortunately I can speak reasonably standard English so I don't get confused for being Swedish too often!!
wy are you driving so slow , everyone is passing you, must be boring having apowerful car and being restricted to 40mph what is the max on a road like that in USA.
The reason people living in America will complain is that for example I have to go about 30 minutes with average speed of 60 mph to get to the closest store.. everything is so far away it makes things expensive. And you got there at the cheapeast time of the year - I hear below 2 dollars, it was over 4 in 2008.
Really? I always thought food was a lot cheaper in America. I had hear something about the price of a cup of coffee in London compared to that of New York (our most expensive city) and the difference was not small!
BTW, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly." Very, very classy ;)
I also thought food would be cheaper. But I am comparing supermarkets. It is difficult to compare the cost of prepared food because there are many other factors to consider and not just the cost of the food plus distribution.
I also like the music to the film - even if I prepared it myself. With 1,000 + films I suppose I had to get one right!!!
@jolzak925 Prices in Europe got very high. You mention gasoline while you need 1 E to buy a small bottle of water, 2 E for a large bottle, 2 E for a cheesepie. Not mention the touristic places.
Great footage, I hope to go again soon!

The weather is usually clear, well at least 90% of the time with blue skies, your luck brought you an overcast sky, to bad, neet vid.

Cheap gasolene beats the object of paying for it,
rain beats the object of being a desert! Your Imperious Majesty, such priggishness beats the object of being a human.

You must have been gutted about the Berlin film,it would have been the time to visit.
Just for the record I'm from south London, but 90% of the Americans thought I was Australian.

This is a really stupid comment. I go somewhere to see things, not to do things I can do at home without any problem.

The price of fuel in the United States is low because the taxes on fuel are low. The taxes on fuel are used to build and maintain roads.
People in the United States complain about the price of fuel and everything else.
Never have so many people in this country have had some much and have been so unhappy. We are no longer an optimistic people.

American petrol and diesel is SO cheap.
But I heard them complaining about it when I was there.
He said that its around 35 euro cents per litre!! my god. In the UK, you easily pay 1 euro 40 cents per litre.
harrychown1989 2 years ago 9
I can't understand why anyone should complain at such cheap petrol.
Mind you the price of used cars in the UK is much, much cheaper. And food in the UK is much cheaper also!

O yes, one can complain. Thats because people do not compare prices to Europe but they do compare to what it used to be.
A few years ago gasoline price was a little over $1 so in that relation a price over $2 is a lot more.
The most expensive gas was in the summer last year. Price per gallon (87) reached over $4.
