I absolutely love Loretta Lynn. She has been my absolute favorite singer since I was a very little girl. I even got to meet her some time in the mid to late 80's. I am so proud that she stays so true to her roots. I love her dresses. I think she continues to wear them to stay true to her roots. I also appreciate what she's done for women. I think I appreciate her more the older I get. My 3 year old even likes Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man. My daughter is a 4th generation Loretta Lynn fan.

@cuongoff I read in one of her books -- can't remember if it was Coal Miner's Daughter or Still Woman Enough -- that she dresses up because she didn't want to disappoint people, so to speak. It's part of her trademark, too. You don't see a Loretta Lynn concert where she isn't dressed up. :)
