For those who are getting the "this sim card does not appear to be supported" or something like that.. just go to General > About > Settings look at your iphone model and google it to find out what carrier the iphone is locked to, then go to SAM Prefs and in method choose "by bundle name" then in bundle choose the carrier that your iphone is locked to (not your actual carrier), sim id choose any option.. connect to itunes and see it working!! It worked for me... Hope to help.

this works!!!! Thank you so much. I followed your instructions and my server is T-mobile USA. I chose ATT-US and did the samething afterwards it works.

one thing is that i didn't even have to connect to itunes and the status went straight to wildcard. I activated my gevey after all of this

Took a few trys, for me, on my phone, once I got the wildcard activated, I did a backup activation and then restore activation and then it worked.

It seems to work best on a blank phone that was just jail-broken, Get it working and then do the restore from an itunes backup.

@Lawrence99z may be there are other errors with your CYDIA or CYDIA SOURCES ....u can try restarting or checking the cydia sources that are empty in cydia..delete them first and try again ....

if you don't get BACKUP ACTIVATION skip it and go on RESTORE ACTIVATION. Connect phone to itunes and it will activate. Remove from itunes. Go back into SAM and it will have BACKUP ACTIVATION. Click it and then after that click on RESTORE ACTIVATION and it will load... now go back into iTunes and you are done!!

What if your phone is already jailbroken and unlocked on 5.0.1.... will this cause the phone to lose the unlock? or do u have to unlock it again?

@sazoc nothing will happen with your unlock if the method goes fine .... but if in some case it gives u a problem such as itunes could not activate etc...then u might need to restore ur system and then unlock it again..is that a big problem for you to restore?

backup activation

restore activation

deactivate iphone

Revert lockdownd to stock

Regenerate SIM

if you don't find Revert lockdownd to stock button then it means SAM did'nt get installed correctly

Solution: If you can see SAM preferences as an application ICON on your iphone screen open it and you can still find REVERT LOCKDOWND TO STOCK in SAM pref.
