I'm just starting to learn, but would a capo on the first fret do the same thing?? Tune down a step???

@alimony812 Sorry, no. That would move it up a half-step. There isn't an easy option to match Neil. You could put the capo on the 10th fret and that would be the same key, but moved up a whole octave. It would sound strange (and high), I think. And it would be very difficult to play way up there.

@nanadasna I didn't know what the hell to make of that comment until I noticed all the other comments on this video are about who I look like. The weird thing is...a lot of people have come up to me lately to tell me I look like Tony Hawk. So I guess that's just a fact. No one has confused me for James Woods. Actually, while he's an ugly man, that'd be pretty cool. Way better than Gene Wilder who I used to be compared to when back I let my hair grow...uh...wide.

Is that a 12 string?

Yes. As I mention in the video, Neil has tuned his guitar down a whole note, and my 12-string is always tuned down that way for the neck. So, it was just easier to use the 12-string.
