I don't think this is Noah's Ark because there's no pitch on the wood. Pitch would have prevented it from petrifying. All the similarities to ancient ships tells me it was built by ancient shipbuilders, likely as a hoax even then.

The Noah's ark/ great flood story fails from all angles of attack. From insufficient genetic diversity of the animals to all plants being underwater for a year, ergo dead-no food for the animals upon disembarking, to no oxygen to breathe and being frozen at 5 miles up. Let alone the fact that a wooden boat of that size could not have withstood raging flood waters. Let's not forget to ask where Noah got a pair of polar bears and penguins to put on the ark.

Science can prove evolution. DNA sequencing, fossil records, it's all there. Part of science is to explain the physical world with a theory. If God could create them, then why could He not create the cousins within a species from one pair of animals after the flood?

@jennyisdirty No, what I am saying that God created DNA and reproduction. There are millions of possibilities of genetic combinations in producing an offspring. Some genes are dominate over others and over time with the right parents, some genes can be bred out. God did not create new animals after the flood, He just created the ability of each species to produce different characteristics. As man and animal multiplied, they spread out, limiting their gene pools over time, thus sub species.

For example, I don't think an offspring would be created if a cow mated with a donkey or a human mating with an antelope. You are correct, that there aer billions of possibilites for different characteristics with DNA, but the breeding of one species does not create an entire new species.

What I believe is that one pair of canines could produce within their species other cousins. When species spread out, gene pools would be limited by several factors and genetic traits could be bred out or made stronger within each group. Same for cows, horses, deer, insects,etc. Therefore, less animals on the Ark. No new species would have been created as well.

There is no proof of the "Spirit world" and even if there was, that would directly contradict the teachings of Christianity. And these near death experiences can be explained rather simply.

The Noah's ark/ great flood story fails from all angles of attack. From insufficient genetic diversity of the animals to all plants being underwater for a year, ergo dead-no food for the animals upon disembarking, to no oxygen to breathe and being frozen at 5 miles up. Let alone the fact that a wooden boat of that size could not have withstood raging flood waters. Let's not forget to ask where Noah got a pair of polar bears and penguins to put on the ark.

Even if it was originally a boat, brought up there by a tsunami, why do you automatically assume it's noah's ark? The measurements don't prove anything. First of all, yes the measurements are very close, but this is only something noteworthy, someone who believed in the story of the bible could've built this to the specs of the torah, or the noah story is just a hyperbole of a real event.

Going through this video. First, the bible/torah SAYS they lived that long, there is no historical evidence of any of these people living to anywhere close to those ages. The human body CANNOT live much past 120 years old.
The anchor stones? VERY fishy. First of all, we have no record that this Ararat was the centre of anything, let alone the place where animals re-propagated. Armenians new immediately it was Noah's ark??? Why? If they are really anchor stones, they couldve been from any ship.

In fact, from what we understand of the natural world coupled with our lack of proof that the supernatural exists, it's all the more likely that we go to the same place that all life goes-nowhere. Science can prove evolution. DNA sequencing, fossil records, it's all there. Part of science is to explain the physical world with a theory. Believe me people have been trying to prove evolution wrong (including scientists) and it has still maintained its position as the best answer for the diversity of life.

@tomatodamashi The "transitional" fossils in the fossil records seem to appear out of no where continue on for some time and then die out. Not slowly evolve from species to species. You cannot add on to the genome, mutations sent enough to explain the diversity of life as mutations rarely even pass on to the next generation. So apparently dna and the fossil record don't back up speciation or the origin of life. People who do not have god in their lives will believe anything atheistic... ANYTHING

@pbodymathis Viruses are very happy without any mitochondria. DNA did come first (or RNA). It's just basic chemistry at first. Molecules just form and become more complex, forming DNA. Basically, you end up with simple DNA strands able to replicate themselves, then evolution begins.
Rather than argue about evolution, just answer this simple question : What is the theory of evolution ?
Oh and I simply don't believe in god because it doesn't make sense to me.

@jennyisdirty In college, my biology professor told me that within the gene pool of cats and dogs, and possibly all living species, are the genes to evolve, as you would say, all the species of cats from one pair and all canines from one pair, etc. Today, we have breeds of dogs, cats, and cows for example specially bred for a purpose. If God could create them, then why could He not create the cousins within a species from one pair of animals after the flood?

@jennyisdirty No, what I am saying that God created DNA and reproduction. There are millions of possibilities of genetic combinations in producing an offspring. Some genes are dominate over others and over time with the right parents, some genes can be bred out. God did not create new animals after the flood, He just created the ability of each species to produce different characteristics. As man and animal multiplied, they spread out, limiting their gene pools over time, thus sub species.

@pbodymathis Sure, that makes sense but in order to have a brand new species, you would have to have the breeding of intraspecies and if i am not mistaken, it doesn't work most of the time. For example, I don't think an offspring would be created if a cow mated with a donkey or a human mating with an antelope. You are correct, that there aer billions of possibilites for different characteristics with DNA, but the breeding of one species does not create an entire new species.

@jennyisdirty I think you have missed my point. All dogs, wolves, coyotes, and possibly other canines are related. What I believe is that one pair of canines could produce within their species other cousins. When species spread out, gene pools would be limited by several factors and genetic traits could be bred out or made stronger within each group. Same for cows, horses, deer, insects,etc. Therefore, less animals on the Ark. No new species would have been created as well.

Respond to this video... If species can inter breed, usually the offspring does not survive, and or they are usually sterile. Buffalo in the wild will kill the calve if it is half cow. Selective breeding can produce new species within a group, dogs, cows, fish, etc. Polled Hereford , German Shepherds , and hybrid white bass are some examples. P. They found distinct layers of different kinds of rock with different fossil in them. Floods don't do that. They discovered it must have taken millions of years to make what we see. God does. I embrace the knowledge of a creator. The existence of God is real. With the world being so intelligently designed and man created so intellectually equipped. There has to be a Power beyond man's knowledge. it's obvious we don't know everything. Which is why we have science to continue the discovery of what we don't know, and that will be a continuing process until the consummation of age.
