Excellent information!
So kings, of the lineage of Judah (per Gen. 49:10-12), represented the Lord, until the Lord Himself received the Kingship. Yet, when He came, His priests refused to yield the kingdom unto whom it rightfully belonged. (Luke 20:1-20, Matt. 21:33-46)
In a tape by a messianic rabbi: "carpenter" was not an occupation, but a title for the heir-apparent to the thone of David. Jesus lineage was known as the son of the carpenter, which would have made Him the heir-apparent.
