Shameless self promotion: I wrote an App for Android that offers the same automatic tuning effect in real time. It's called Voloco, it's free, and it requires Froyo. In addition to the AT effect, it does in-tune pitch-shifting and automatically tuned vocoding, which imo is better than AT. The latency is significant, but that's a general problem with Android that should improve in the near future. Check it out in the Market, and drop a comment if you like it. -- Patrick

You go to motorola's website and go to update my software for motorola backflip or search "Motorola Backflip 2.1 update" in Google. Your backflip goes much faster and smoother too...

there's a newer version that allows you to get auto-tune in real-time...it's getting there....and to pocketnowvideo - really appreciate your clips but they get a bit tedious to view, in this case is it really necessary to go through every single setting!!

Boy--that's pretty rough sounding.. neat for free though! Did you see tpain auto-tune the president? Funny funny stuff..

If they want this app to REALLY work, they need to make it match the pitch to an imported midi file so it knows when to pitch your voice up or down.  That's the whole idea-- even if you sing one note monotone, it spits it out sounding like you're singing. Maybe it plays the midi and records while you sing, then plays back the two mixed together. BAM, useful+easy.

@osmeeS you can get the deep sounds by changing "Pitch Shift" to negative. It was set to -4 for the recording. Setting to positive will make it sound like you're fast forwarding your voice haha.

I love this app.I got it when it just came out.I think it was better before the update.Before the update it had almost no settings but the sound was so much better.Also,is it just me or is it that the app can only hold to recorded files at a time?Because every time I try to record the third file it deletes the previous file,sucks.
