Phil just so you know, I agree with you that it wasn't necessary to drop atomic bombs on residential areas, and it wasn't right to put Japanese in internment camps, they weren't a step UP from concentration camps, but a step down. They were provided food and water, and living necessities, whereas concentration camps killed people. I'm also Japanese and my Grandfather served in WWII as a lieutenant in the National Guard

Phil just so you know, I agree with you that it wasn't necessary to drop atomic bombs on residential areas, and it wasn't right to put Japanese in internment camps, they weren't a step UP from concentration camps, but a step down. They were provided food and water, and living necessities, whereas concentration camps killed people. I'm also Japanese and my Grandfather served in WWII as a lieutenant in the National Guard

@flatline1993 concentration camps were meant to kept the Jews, which hadn't emigrated away, from the German public and get then ship some of them to the extermination camps. The death rate in these camps was about 10-20%. However in the Japanese concentration camps the death rate was much much higher - 30%-40% - the Japanese paid no respect to he prisoners.
And dropping the nuclear bombs was a good think when u look at it - because if the US would invade both sides would loose a lot more people

The Jews, first of all, did not have time to emigrate away, the Germans didn't give them a warning as to when they were to be placed in concentration camps.You're right on the terms that they were sent to extermination camps. although im not sure thats the right term. I don't believe that the Japanese had concentration camps, but I could be wrong. I was referring to the US internment camps for the Japanese, which were not harmful. As for the nukes, that's debatable, how can you be sure?

Yes Jews were given a time to "GTFO" because their shops were raided a long time before they were put in these camps - a lot of them emigrated to U.S., Israel etc. because the government was treating them badly - raiding shops, public discrimination etc. i would liek to note that by this Hitler freed a lot, a lot, of jobs for other Germans which heped the unemployment, or so the people thought.
The jews had time to leave, and Japanese had camps for captured U.S. troops :)
