  • I want to see how to tame a very mean Leo

  • thanks for making the vid, im going to get a leopard gecko so i want to know exactly how to do everything

  • I already know how much you and ur gecko loves coke!

    2:06

  • since the eggs hatch in like 7-10 days how would you combat this ?

if moss was what your using ?

  • do you have to have it in there all the time? or only when it is going to shed

  • @ThePiro34 Just put it on the cool side of the tank, and have another hiding hole, And you should have no problem leaving it in there.

  • do u make it like...soaked???

  • @treywillett96 Its called a moist hide, not a soaked hide. Answer ur question?

  • @isThatAllDuctTape alright well nice vid

  • do i need a plastic hide? or can i use the one i already have for him (fake rock)

  • i used some kinda moss and juist prayed som watter on it put it in a nice dark hidihole and it stayed wet for 2-3days :D

  • is dat sand? and i'm not gonna say what u think 'cause i use it 2.

  • I buy that calcium sand that is made for lizards and it gives them a calcium boost, is that alright for leopard geckos?

  • @MackG99 no. that sand, despite what it says on the label, is NOT digestible and will impact your gecko's stomach. They will eat more of it because it has calcium.. the more sand they ingest the more likely it is to damage their stomachs. Just use some calcium powder on your crickets.

  • doesnt undestand wht u said..

    btw..nice humi dhide..4 stars

  • if there babys and you put play ground sand theyll eat it and have problems but when there older its fine

  • DOW NOT USE SAND!

  • dont use sand? they come from the sand.

  • They come from the sand... lol no. They come from ROCKY deserts of afghanistan. Meaning they live on compacted sand and rock...not sand dunes like in australia....

Loose sand is like a ticking time bomb for leopard geckos...sooner or later its going to cause a problem, get educated on it before you buy another lizard mate

  • lol i kno my mom use to have 2 leo mack snows and she used sand i askt if i can get one and she was saying exactly what the pet store says she was like they come from the sand you have to use it i told her u use paper towel then she got pissed off at me XD but im allowed to get one i just needed to kno exactly how to make a moist hide and what kind of gecko do u think i should get?

  • Moist hides are easy mate, get a tub, put some tissue paper inside, spray inside with warm water to get it humid sooner, then place it on the warm side of the tank, replace tissue daily.

Leopard geckos are awesome, they're jumpy when babies, but when they're adult they're very calm and tame, mine sometimes watches me walking around and will follow me along his tank lol.

  • lol my moms leos woudnt let us hold them but that was my moms fault her x bf took them back to his place i askt my mom about them and she said there dead X( but im excited about my gecko

  • If you get one young, like I did, think mine was 3 weeks old....make sure you leave him/her to settle in for a few weeks without handling (obviously feed n all that).

I definately recommend you getting a 3ft tank tbh...cause when you get one...you're gonna want more lol.

  • thanks X)

  • they live on hard clay

  • what kind of substrate do you recommend for leopard geckos

  • paper towel

  • Get Zilla terrarium liner, it's much more aesthetically appealing than paper towl. There's a clay hide building stuff too that's pretty cool, much closer to their natural habitat and totally customizable, I'm going to try it out in a few weeks with my leo once she gets settled in

  • sand is bad get him off of it!!!!!!!!!

  • moist not soaked!!!

  • how long should you keep the light on like 24/7 or on then off at night?

  • 12 hours on 12 offf

  • if you want them to have light 10-12 hours, however light is not necessary for leos

  • i thinhk he means heat :) ?

  • wered u get the black box?

  • you can proberly get one from yhour pet store buy some big meal worms and use the box the come in, or what ever

  • no lol the mealworm boxes are realy small and i cant find any moist hides at the store :( but yeah i just weanted a black one cause they prob cant see and they done use the sour cream containers cause theres light going through it

  • yea well... thought maybe you could ask for a bigger :)

  • i tried lol they said no :( but yeah lol

  • i made a hide out of a butter container (bout a day ago) and changed her rocks for basking to another place in the cage....she wont use the new container (cool hide) or the rocks right now...is she getting used to the moved and new objects?

  • i did this but i put a piece of sloth and then a paper towel..hah...i like it tho

  • aww cute gecko :) i got 3

  • Do you spray the inside with warm water? And do you place it on the cool or warm side in the tank? Thanks!

  • dont really spray it, sence i use paper towels, i just take the paper towels out and pour water on it, i just use room temp water. and i put mine right in the middle! :) lol

  • Er, yeah, sorry, that's what I meant. ie You spray the paper towels. xD

    I getcha though. Thanks!

  • Great idea!

  • lol hot hot hot

  • what?

  • neat i bet your gecko loves it!

  • haha, yeah he does :)
