  • I think it's a bit strange how Combo is meant to be about 30 years old. while the others are what 19? Lol and Woody are 19 or 20. so is Milky. because in 88, they are nearly 25. making Combo ten years older than them. Lol had a relationship with Combo, when he was 17.

No idea how that happened since she would of been what 8 when he was 17.

a few errors made there. still it's an excellent film. and 86 and 88, or also brilliant.

  • recorded with a camera

  • British movie always awesome! we should start "British Invasion" for movie Chapter!

  • Awesome movie, and man he was COCK-EYED! :o

  • people! Jesus Christ died on the cross for us and rose again and sitteth at the right hand of God, ask forgiveness for their sins from him and give his life to Jesus Christ so that He could resurrect you on the last day to eternal life!

  • @iamblessyou God Bless His Name. I was wanking in the hills today and was inspired by the Lord.

  • if you took skins, wrapped them in butter, popped a pair of rose tinted glasses on them and gave them a theme tune taken straight from Now That's What I Call Skins - available from all safe record shops - then you would have This Is England

  • didn't show any white kids getting a kickin DID IT! i could tell a different story alright like havin a knife at your throat from some black c--t but they wouldn't make a movie like that would they? no wonder this version got made.

  • im sorry did he just say stephen graham is mixed race?????????????????

  • -continued but you can tell a chav from an emo from a trendy to a goth. Thinking about it though it does seem a little selfish to say "I don't like being labeled" even though I have been in that position because looking at the way they call it like a tribal thing, it's like we've gone from tribes to lone wolf, but then again I don't think people like to be stereotyped so there might be a fine line that our society is on where it's part "diluted" as Shane said and trying to be ourselves

  • @Argarna What are you talking about 'lone wolf'?!

A lot of the different fashions had a soundtrack to them and a movement behind them type of thing like punk, skins with ska, new romantics.

We've not had anything like that for a long time, people do still dress differently obviously individuals but we just don't have as many established fashions or however you'd word it properly.

  • @Argarna The difference is you call people a chav you wouldn't proclaim yourself a chav that's your word for how they dress not their own the same with the word trendy although I've never heard anyone use that word. I presume you mean people who dress in trackies, and people who dress in designer labels? Which would encompass most British kids, it's not really a scene is it and it's hardly out there is it like a skinhead or a punk

  • One of the things that I've picked up on in the interviews and making of etc is that the people involved in making it (mostly the director) states that today most people look the same and you can't tell the difference, but it seems to me that there are still different scenes and social groups, the only difference being that no one really takes that choice in saying there this or that most people say they are themselves or don't want to be labeled but you can tell a chav from an emo from a trend

  • 2:58 ... für die deutschen "father ficker" ?xDDDD

  • I love this movie.

  • pass it down through generations

  • great movie and brought back loads of great memories........i loved the rupert the bear flair trousers. However, the details are slightly glossed over as the reality was much darker......violence, glue sniffing, etc.

  • This was filmed streets away from my house in st anns lol

  • I loved the movie! But about the ending scene where he throws the flag in the water, it had no effect on me...maybe cause I'm Irish...

  • Yeah, that would do it, I think.

  • @Wiedemann23

i think the flag is supposed to be a symbolism of the friendship with combo...

love the movie, it's really really awsome. i'd only love to see more of woody, i thought he made an excellent job and was the coolest guy of em all but he didn't show up anymore then :/

  • whats the song called that starts playing 5.57?

  • gr8 movie!

  • its an amazing film

  • great film by a great director, i loved dead mans shoes as well. but i thought this is england could have gone a bit further into explaining the bonding of skinheads around the uk with the music and gigs, the larger picture, and i thought the ending was a bit weak with the flag in the water

  • 1 of my all time fav films. Funny, sad its got the lot ...love it!!! Music is great too!

  • This is one of the greatest British Films to be made-Ever!! You can stick your big budget pinewood special effects reliant crap. This is England is the real deal. It doesn't rely on gimmicks and whatnot. There's not a duff minute in that film.Check out 24/7 by Meadows. Another brilliant film!!

  • @bingobongo1988

It is good alright, but don't forget great British movies like Look Back In Anger, The Sporting Life, Quadrophenia, Trainspotting, The 39 Steps, Brief Encounter, The Third Man, yada yada...the list goes on.
