I never got the chance to hear Shirley Verrett sing onstage. All the more reason for me to treasure these videos as well as her recordings. In my opinion, she was a beautiful woman and superb artist. Onegin's generosity is immense, and those of us who love this music should be grateful and thank him often. It takes Herculean effort, time, and devotion to research, select, and upload these videos plus what must be considerable expenditure of his funds at no cost to us.
