It depends on what your perspective of the "true" powerfulness is. Vietnamese won this war because they had high spirit, nothing to lose, strongly believed in their communist ideal. In contrast, American soldiers had too many things that interfered their mind while in VN like their own happy family and life at home, peaceful homeland (USA). If North Vietnam did not sign the peace agreement we would still be there.

North Vietnam signed a peace treaty with the US in 1972 never having got their victory over the US. hahahahahahahahahaha We left and then and only then could you win. North Vietnam signed a peace treaty with the US and SVN January of 1973. It was a peace agreement in which Henry Kissinger and Le Duc Tho both were honored with the Nobel peace prize in which Le Duc Tho refused it. You signed a peace agreement with the US which we honored by standing down and bringing our troops home. North Vietnam broke that treaty in 1975 with the support of China and the Soviet Union. If North Vietnam did not sign the peace agreement we would still be there.

US gave up the south VN because the cost of this war more than they imagined between lives and casualties. US was disgraced then put SVN signed for peace treaty but it was tricked to SVN before US can withdrawn the troop. In the ravages of war in VN. US realized it could not win in the long run. Former president from SVN also realized US betrayed them and let NVC advanced their force. Actually, vietnameses were soldier don't want and occupier in their land. They fight till whatever is cost.

It isn't a made up number, those are the numbers the Communist Vietnamese government gave. Yes, millions of NVA uniformed soldiers were roasted, blown apart, shot and bombed to death as were 3.6 million non-uniformed North Vietnamese miitia on the Ho Chi Minh trail and AA guns. That is not even counting the dead VC. Yes, millions and millions little yellow people's ghosts are roaming the Vietnamese countryside lonely and lost!. They have no joss, no incense, no family members to honor them.

It was the Vietnamese govt in 1998 that gave those death numbers for NVA plus 3 million dead militia in the North. What? Don't you know that NV invaded Laos and Cambodia and still to this day kill the mountain and hill people called the Hmong and Montangnards! Vietnam is a communist hell. The communists mine for poor quality coal that produced millions of tonnes of dioxin in peoples homes while they burn that coal for cooking and heating. They blame the US for agent Orange but dioxin was not an ingrediant of agent orange it was a contaminant only. Still new dioxin ravages the VN people using their coal.

5 million North Vietnamese feld south after the division because they did not wish to live in communism. There was never a majority of South Vietnamese that were pro-communist. During Tet Offensive the NVA and VC expected the SVN to rise up with them instead the South Vietnamese fought against the communists. After 68 Tet VC could not complete the demands of recruits that the North Wanted, instead NVA filled their ranks. No, South Vietnam lost over 1 million men battling the NVAn aggressors.

communist ruled during WW1 and WW2 more cruelled than today. They have changed alot for better life to their peoples. Look at Russia and China bossed of Communist now and what they have changed as VN too. Now North&South VN had united and no war or killing each other.

Communist Vietnamese love to brag about their military prowess but in the end the Vietnamese people are always the losers by the millions upon millions of dead Vietnamese ghosts wandering the countryside looking for a home for their lost and tormented souls. I know how pretty it is to see Vietnamese burning like wax candles running around until they died their hair burning and stinking up the place. What was best to see the smile of burned NVA heads smiling with no lips cuz they were burnt off.

The North Vietnamese were the invaders! They invaded Laos, Cambodia and South Vietnam which was not their country at the time it was divided as in a civil war. It is a lie that South Vietnamese wanted communist North to rule them. The United States military became involved in anyt significant way in the mid-sixties but Vietnam was divided since the early 50's. The South was created by the United Nations because millions of North Vietnamese did not want communism so they went south.
