This is the first pleasent recording i've ever heard by fisk. It's a very simple piece though and the balancing of some of the chords aren't great.

I've got CDs of Mr. Fisk that blow away anything I've heard from anyone else. The YouTube videos are ok, but you can see his limitations. He's actually an awesome guitarist. The people who are here criticizing him need to post some videos of their own playing.

shows how bright you are....those "noises" hes making are the same noises EVERY guitar player makes, its literally impossible to not make them. theyre just much more obvious because of the way this is recorded and the poor quality. this guy teaches a master class, trust me he wouldnt be doing things that he shouldnt like making unnecessary noises. try actually buying a cd instead of only watching shitty youtube videos genius

Fascinating. I know this is punishable by death in classical guitar circles but, despite the obvious gifts he gave the modern classical guitar, I did not like his playing very much.  His attitude toward people left something to be desired so his opinion of Mr Fisk does not interest me in the least. I admire and respect Mr. Fisk's musicianship and artistry but I do not like to listen to him at all. Too abrupt and noisy for me.

Alright, that's completely reasonable. You have to understand that Youtube classical guitar comments tend to be made by insane people (See: the guy who writes horrible insults about Eliot Fisk in all of his videos, the people who call John Williams "boring", etc.) so that's why I posted that.

I've been wondering why there's so much of the negative fussing over guitar players at U2b. My guess for classical players is there's more left to interpretation (in terms of tone) than other instruments. Nail v. flesh, vibrato, etc... For rock guitar, it's so pervasive and everyone has their favorite? *For the record Hendrix is not #1 he's #37!
