What you're hearing is the mono version of Blue Moon. If you bought the mono Lp of "The Colorful Ventures" this is what you heard. However if you bought the stereo Lp, Blue Moon was a different take altogether, and has a different ending. I liked both versions.
@dobbs1947 Yes, I have the LP your are refering to, but at the time I was uploading the first songs to YT, I was working in 45's...so the mono...thank you for your input.
@10menonachest Many times, for what ever reason, they don't always put the original song on a greastest hits CD. Sometimes it's a re-record done years after the original release, and also, because of the age of some of these people, I just think sometimes they just don't know the original. Look for a CD that was produced a few years before the one you have, and look on it to say, "all original recordings" You should stand a better chance of getting the original...Thank you for commenting.
The Japanese make MINI LP CD's to duplicate the actual LP Record. I have posted Blue Moon both MONO and WIDE STEREO. Both versions were recorded onto a cassette, my CD was borrowed by a friend, so I ran it through my sound program and cleaned up some of the cassette noise, there's still some in there, but couldn't get it all out. I also added some treble and bass because YouTube processes the videos in some kind of compressed form that adds a tin sound to the background. Hope you enjoy...
Get The Colorful Ventures Japanese CD, the sound is real cleaned up, plus you get a MONO and STEREO version of the album The Colorful Ventures. The STEREO version is real wide, as wide as you can get, better than early U.S. pressings of Blue Moon in STEREO.

the backing guitar around 1:14 isn't on my c.d.? I have the Greatest Hits and i can't hear the flamenco strumming. why is that?
