  • Glad I checked the video. I just changed my wipers yesterday but don't recall them "clicking" in place. Think I'll remove and replace them again just to make sure they're secure. Kudos to Jeff for the tips and for being the best looking mechanical engineer that I've ever seen! ; )

  • Thanks for the video, very helpful! I knew I needed to replace mine when the entire blade fell off the car :D how often do I need to wipe down my new ones to keep them in shape?

  • thanks a lot! I have these blades on my VW, but all of the VW videos show much different blades.

  • Thank you. Had it not been for this video, it would have taken me a month of Sundays to figure out such a simple repair.

  • Thanks!!

  • thumbs if you just changed your wipers or are about to change them

  • Thank you! The 'instructions' (if you can call them that) with my replacement blades were awful. I spent at least 10 minutes trying to make sense of them in conjunction with my wipers. I watched your video, and it took me about 10 seconds to do. Thanks so much!

  • everything is fine and dandy up in canada eh.

  • A few other side notes:

    - The captions were part of the deal with ExpertVillage, for hearing impaired folks.

    - I'm no longer running my own auto business, I'm working full time as a mechanical engineer. Still working on cars & motorcycles for fun.

    - I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. I'm not an immigrant. I do think I sound a little funny on the video, it was a long day of filming and we didn't have a script.

  • Hey Everyone, This is Jeff from the video. I had no idea that this video was so useful and viewed by so many people until one of my friends that found it told me.

My friend Josh told me about ExpertVillage a few years ago and we threw together this video as a way to make a few bucks. Who knew it would wind up on YouTube. We actually did this video along with the other car related ones in one day of shooting with no script, just winged it ;)

Thanks for viewing & the kind comments.

  • Thank you I did it because of this vdo.

  • awesome

  • You just saved me money.....I love you

  • LOVE. This made it sooo easy. Saved so much money.

  • P.S. What did we do before YouTube?

  • @Swimmy61 Half the jobs are being killed by internet. Here's an idea. Shut down internet and see American economy grow.

  • This made it so easy!! Thank you Jeff, you cutie :)

  • Thank you!

  • thanks jeff!! lots a help.. take care and keep up the good work

  • Wow, wiper blade companies should just put a link to this video instead of that useless 4 picture guide that I got. Thanks bud, your video helped a lot!

  • thanks dude this DID help!

  • Thank u man~! this video really helps !!~!

  • Mr Jeff - this video was the best I have seen on Utube-had you had good examples and great close up for easy viewing. This is a great for single women who may be on a budget and are tired of waiting for husbands/boyfriends to change. You aslo have a nice manicure.

  • Thanks man, good video

  • Thanks so much! I definitely needed this and this was the easiest, best instruction around! You rock, man!! <3

  • I feel like an idiot. This is the easiest thing in the world and I couldn't figure it out without this video. Thanks a ton, Sir. :D

  • Thankyou Mr!! I appreciate the fact that you made this video for dummies like me. Your the Shiz-nits!!

  • Thanks so much for this, it really helped me out this afternoon. :D I couldn't figure out how to get the stupid thing off; for some reason it never occurred to me to pull down, lol..

  • great and simple, thanks for posting!!

  • ...thanks for help...

  • danke

  • I finally got the dumb thing off my car. Thank you!!

  • This is for 'hook'-style wiper blades. Might wanna mention that in title considering there's different types.

  • sei proprio brutto..

  • Excellent, tutorial

  • The thing that makes these so darn tough to install is that little clip. All the videos I see they say slide the wiper in and then pull up until it clicks. (obviously) But none ever show how the clip is supposed to be angled.

  • Thanks Jeff, very well explained

  • thanks fo teching how to change wipers

  • wow this instructional video was so simple even a girl was able to change the wiper blades in 3 mins; its a wonder people pay others to change the blades!

  • @MikroBadass nothing if you go to advanced auto parts where they do it for free

  • LMAO I know it's an expertvillage thing, but seriously, why does this guy need subs? I managed to work out what he was saying through his thick Chinese accent lol :sarcasm:

  • I had watched a previous video, someone else, on how to change the blade assembly, and they never said to push down. lol Your demo was spot on, and I was able to change them out in less than 2 minutes. :-) Thanks!

  • Perfect...Thank you.

  • Had never changed a wiper before - this showed me how simple it was! Thanks!

  • I was defeated by my wiper blade trying to get them off and I still feel the shame! Thanks for the simple and easy directions :]

  • Thanks man! This is awesome. Really appreciate your help!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks. very helpful

  • thanks for the video! but can't you just ask the people in the auto store to install them?

  • @XxJoe1792xX That would hurt the pride of so many men lol, changing wipers should be in our DNA

  • great job thanks man

  • Thanks so much! :) This video was a great help!

  • This was very helpful, thnx.

  • Too good was very useful.

  • thanks man! the video is really helpful

  • If you love cars and are planning to buy one, visit the World of Wheels in Des Moines.

  • Jeff, thank you for the video. Very helpful! :-)

  • Dude i'm asian, but this dude looks a little too ethnic.

  • ok the writing on the whole video completly is pointless. put that in the discription so i can see it being done. just sayin

  • Thank you!

  • really useful. well explained .Thx.

  • they didnt need to put the subs on him he is perfectly understandable :)

  • didnt know about the alcohol pads thnx.

  • Finally a video that actually helped me!! :]] thanks youuuuuu!

  • This helped tremendously....Thank you so much!!

  • hmmmm... i would have thought that alcohol would dehydrate the rubber.

  • Seriously people? Enough with the immigrant/race comments. This guy has a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering--show some respect.

  • @kewi5 he's the only one who has shown the little knob to push down on. i watched many of them. who cares what race he is?

  • @kewi5 So its just a masters........... tell me when he has a phd

  • thxs!!!! It helped a lot!!!

  • @omxpablo19: Quite the opposite, I'd like as many skilled immigrants as possible to come here and replace dumb asses, such as yourself.

  • @Rachsucht great comeback. your rebuttal has put me in my place.

  • good vid thanx!!!

  • Highlights the difference between legal immigrants that become a productive member of society and the leeches looking for a free ride. We need more like Jeff Wong.

  • you sound like the dumbasses from south park who make stupid claims like: they tirk errr jerbss.

  • @omxpablo19 hahahaha

  • @Rachsucht i dont think we have a huge population of immigrants that leech for a free ride, first of all there is no free ride anywhere for anyone thats a right wing fallacy, most illegals dnt have a SSN # they use fake ones so it means they contribute to the system and never take anything out, so i suggest u try and find a diffrent way to express your xenophobia towards ''illegals', theres legal lazy immigrants too u knw

  • I can replace my wiper blades, I can replace the pump inside my toilet, I can catch spiders! Who needs a man?!!! Thx YouTube!

  • @HiHappyHands LESBIAN FOR SURE!

  • @Rastavio In your deams!

  • asian guy to the rescue!! thanks a bunch!

  • @kamatanurag

Your obviosley ignorant!!! Asian? Really???!!! Omg I can't believe there is still people like you... First of all you shouldn't refer to him as "asian guy" and second learn the cultures that surround you!! And I thought I lacked in education....

  • Get rain-x wipers... they own.

  • Thanks... my release was too old to let the lock go, I had to crack the plastic clip to get them off, no harm done though. Thanks again!!

  • dude, that was great. i finally replace my wiper blades for the first time. thanks to youtube too.

  • Jeff,

Thank you for this informative video. You made my day!

    Cheers,

    JD

  • I had no idea how to re-attach the wipers when it fell off my car. Got on Youtube and this video helped me replace in a matter of 2 minutes. Thank you!

  • Thanks for the video, I've been racking my brain. I usually only replaced the blades themselves, not the entire thing like you showed. I was at a loss, couldn't get the damn arm off, until you showed how lol. I found the release, but it wouldn't give, all I needed to do was pull downward, not across or up lol.

  • Informative

  • Easily understandable, gave 5 stars.

  • gosh this guy saved me another 30 minutes....yes i was tryin 2 do it for 30 minutes.....dam he makes it look simple

  • you're a life saver. it took me forever to try and change the blades on my windshield. finally i went on you tube and boom 5 minutes later i finally installed it thanks.

  • I cant remember life b4 Google and youtube

  • Thanks dude, great video! I had never heard of that isopropyl alcohol trick for lubricating and preserving rubber on the blades. Awesome advice!

  • It's so easy! :O

  • thank you!! this video saved my life for tomorrow when the big storm comes in

  • i always wanted to know how this was done ! thanks

  • Very good video - enough clarity to really see the simple blade replacement operation. Helped me to complete this task in seconds, after looking at the stupid mechanism for a week prior. Thanks!

  • Thanks, Jeff Wong. I will always remember your advice and your ponytail.

  • Thank you Jeff. Your video was of great help to me.

  • Thanks Jeff Wong. I did it :D

  • thanks jeff wong, very informative

  • The SECRET that this man left out is to call your local auto supply stores. Give them the year, make, model of your car and they will tell you want wipers fit your car. Shop around for best price. Let your fingers do the walking.

  • anybody know the best wiper blade to go with??with real honest results SERIOUSLY!!!!

  • i love rain-x weatherblade

  • Great thanks
