  • he looks like a kiddo here. how old was he when performed this?

  • @mdkimxd

yah thats what happens with alot of years of practicing and strumminng very fast very fast for a long period of time '-'

  • for those who are asking why he dances around so much, its really simple: your body flows with the music. standing still and playing a sensitive piece is practically impossible. he moves instinctively with the music he plays.

  • beautiful and brilliant and puts the uke into a different category-a it should be .

He's the Nigel Kenned y of the uke.

What ukes does Jake play ?

    What a sound!

  • this was good, but i still think his central park performance tops all. for some reason, all his other versions are much too slow paced and over dramatic. still good though..

  • I agree.. it just flowed better

  • Id like it without the background music. Jake is much better than the bakground.

  • why does he dance soo much..i think he wants to do it with the ukulele

  • my jake video is pretty cool too... this is way better

  • I like this slow version better then the 1 in central park.

  • ohh how he makes love to ukulele...... j'adore!!!

  • he is really talented it doesnt sound like the ukulele at all!

  • Interesting...what was the date of this performance?

He does that same time-skip flourish (2:22-2:47) on his 2/19/08 performance on Conan. Adding his own touches to freshen things (for himself and his fans). It's grows on me.

Still, if they ever make a movie about my life, I want them to use this rendition (first 3:30) to cover the epilogue part where I retire to live out my days on a quiet island in the Pacific...

  • I'm so glad there's video of this concert! Judging by the camera angle, I think I was sitting right behind you. Thanks for posting this!

  • Nice accompaniment, but the rigid tempo of the orchestra I think held Jake back from fully improving how he usually. Nice though
