for those who are asking why he dances around so much, its really simple: your body flows with the music. standing still and playing a sensitive piece is practically impossible. he moves instinctively with the music he plays.
this was good, but i still think his central park performance tops all. for some reason, all his other versions are much too slow paced and over dramatic. still good though..
Interesting...what was the date of this performance?
He does that same time-skip flourish (2:22-2:47) on his 2/19/08 performance on Conan. Adding his own touches to freshen things (for himself and his fans). It's grows on me.
Still, if they ever make a movie about my life, I want them to use this rendition (first 3:30) to cover the epilogue part where I retire to live out my days on a quiet island in the Pacific...
he looks like a kiddo here. how old was he when performed this?

He's the Nigel Kenned y of the uke.

Id like it without the background music. Jake is much better than the bakground.

I'm so glad there's video of this concert! Judging by the camera angle, I think I was sitting right behind you. Thanks for posting this!

Nice accompaniment, but the rigid tempo of the orchestra I think held Jake back from fully improving how he usually. Nice though
