If that PSU works, that's worth something. Dunno why anyone would throw away a working one. Try jumping the green and black pins (any black will do) with a paperclip to make sure the fan spins up before you (potentially) end up frying a mobo.

@lifeinhd i tested it with a older mother board a p4 because i have alot of them and it seemed to work fine i tested it for about a hour while i formatted a hard drive its back lit its pretty nice

Nothing wrong with salvaging lets see here for me..,2 gas powered scooters(kept them) 5 tillers(sold)2 pocket bikes(sold) now I have I think 5 or so generators coming lol all scrap..In the end the avrage person is very wastefull You would be amazed to see what you will find at your local dump or scrap metal place

I found all kinds of free stuff around town here I got a free table and 2 chairs a dresser, a DVD player and TV all working. People just leave the stuff by the curb and put free sign on them.

I just love free stuff. especially the stuff that ppl throw out due to a minor problem like your baseball line spreader for example. I found a fishing pole one time but it only had half a reel. the pole was in great shape. all I need is a good reel and some line and tackle and i'm set.

I agree, I say keep the older stuff and fix it like you said b/c it's built of better quality. I opened up a magnavox boombox to mod it and it was screaming of quality. most if not all of the parts said made in japan. the radio was assembled in austria. the speaker out's don't work but i'll be adding an external L R 3.5mm speaker jack on it so I can at least use the thing. and I love trash picking and DDing as well.

If you have a good chainsaw with a descent length blade, you should cut some of those logs in slices to make tables. You can either cut the 3 or 4 legs out, or use an axe and mall and hope for a descent cut. Shellac, stain, resin or natural top. No real sanding. 1 bolt per leg recessed or L brackets from underneath. Chairs and stools are just as easy. 5 - 20 each, no problem. Flee markets and craigslist. Try it out, make a video, let me know.
