She speaks very fluently in Pashto and really amazed me. In literature indeed Pashto is a descendent of Endo-European language. It also shares some vocabulary with Arabic and Farsi. These languages have not only influenced Pashto, but have influenced Urdu language.

Zma lgh lgh pukhto pohegum : ). I did find a voice chat where a lot of Pushtoons come and sit and speak Pushtoo mostly. I just sit and listen to them and make notes of what ever they say. Well I have a fling for Pushto language. I use to have a friend who was pushtoon. Unfortunately she lives in different town now. She use to speak with her family in Pushto and surprisingly I use to understand most of it. I don't have a genuine explanation about it but I truly have a feeling for that language. I am a keen learner.

well, if u want to learn it, then the best thing u can do is to find a teacher where u live, i am sure there are many in UK(found on ur utube page). u can also google for 'learn pashto', u ll get many links just check them out.
