I wish this song was as main stream as 'Fire and Desire,' but that's okay true Teena and Rick fans know how lovely and romantic this ballad was and is for coming years. I have made a major error when I said Ooo La La La and Call Me(I Got Your Number) was written by Ronald or rather Ronnie McNeir co-wrote these 2 songs. They were both co-written by bass player Allen McGrier who also did drum programming and synthesizer on this album. So please forgive me true LADY TEE fans and keep on giving our "LADY" some much deserved love !!!!!!

Lady Tee's music just seems to get better with each listen like a really fine wine. I just purchased this CD and am totally blown away by the incredibe musicianship of this powerhouse. Of course the best feature is HER VOICE and the way she blows from her soul. I didn't realize that this song and "Ooo La La La" was co-written with Ronald McNeir along with "Call Me(I Got Your Number). No wonder Rick James acted so jealous or was it just plain envy? She's an incredible lyricist and missed so.

It aint no mystery...it was her calling ...Lady Tee in her song "Once and Future Dream" sang about seeing Rick James in another life. Hear the song...hear the meaning and the message!

What a masterpiece of a song. I grew up listening to Rick James and Lady T and would love it when my mom cleaned the house. It would blair with the sweetness of what once was Rick James and Teena Marie and the legacy they built..both of mystery, romance and intrigue. These two loved each other and you can hear it in this song, Happy and Fire and Desire.

Theres also a clip from Rick James Album, "The FLag" called "Slow and Easy Interlude" He pays homage to Teena and reflects on the days of her very young career, and when he catipulted her to new heights. "and oh how the people loved you and cheered your name" he says..as he sat at the piano speaking of Teena. As in life, they shall come together in death as well. The very music they make together is strong medicine...which will play on for an eternity.
