I don't know how you guys got into a wreck yard with no dogs or anyone seeing you but I liked this video. It's sad to see cars that start but worth nothing. I had a 1996 Ford Escort Wagon with zero rust and shiny (Canada) with 180,000 k's on it worked perfectly but all of the sudden the head gasket gave up. 1000.00 worth of new brakes a few months before. Junk yards are fun but also sad sometimes. I was luck a car dealer took mine as a trade in because the body (14 years old) was perfect.

What would be funny is to find something with all of the wheels and tires on it with someone pulling parts off of something next to you and driving it away.
i dont see why you cant revv the ranger too high...its a junker that will eventually be crushed.... its not like its someones car they are going drive....
i just checked my other email address and i got word that the fuel pump is dead or the gas tank was empty, but more than likely the fuel pump was the problem with this van
@jiman124 yup the starter will cause it not to start or crank n stop cranking if the bendix are bad . i had an s10 that just was hard to start was feul injected was getting fuel i just had to keep playing with the starter tiul it decided to keep cranking the engine changed starter and corrected the problem
The Chevy van doesn't sound like it's getting gas but I heard u hold the starter in the start position and pump it for like 3-5 seconds

@Frogger564 I beg to differ with OP's opinion, I'm pretty sure it's the starter motor that's short circuited....
seiferis2006 1 year ago
the truck that you tried starting at first the clicking normally means dead batterie...
so try taht if yiou want it to start.
Frogger564 1 year ago
@Frogger564 no the battery wasn't dead the solinoid was not working right
offroader94 1 year ago
@offroader94 Yeah you can here everything else engaging right and once the solenoid finally worked it cranked fine.

sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me as well...fuel pump or maybe fuel lines....
matts6887 2 years ago
two problems one of them is probably the spark plugs are done on this chevy van or is flooded or very unlikely the starter is going.
jiman124 2 years ago
i dont think it was the starter i think it was out of gas or the fuel pump was dead
