I have been looking for this movie for years! I think it is wonderful that Jesus is portrayed so well.

@xtianssk Maybe you are saying what you are. God gave man laws and they rebelled and went against Him.That is how all the evil came upon the world and the different religions and versions of religions.God is the law and the religion.The bible is a document of the various dispensations through time and how God dealt with the people. Of course there was immorality, people did evil, broke laws.Rev 22:18 no one shall add or take away from the bible without punishment.

If they did not have the Bible, documentation ordered by God (Jeremiah 30:1) you people would be saying where is your proof, how come there is not a book. You can't please non-believers no matter what is given to them. It seems the only thing you know how to do is call people insulting names which regardless of your argument does not make you or what you say credible.What is not of God is from the devil.Can't be envious of that.

This should be called " Jesus - the Hollywood Movie" This guy is TOTALLY unconvincing. in fact the whole thing is like watching modern characters dressed up in ancient costumes! The Gospel of John (also on You Tube) is a million times better.

@TheVaughan5 It is named 'Jesus-the Movie'. Which book based movie has Ever followed the book verbatum? None, I would venture to guess. This is a movie based on a book. Thus, we should expect some creative license.Do we take the works of The Bard to be English History? Then again, who can say that the words the writers wrote were not Inspired by God! We know little, but what we read from one text who's chapters were hand picked by men long ago.

I've seen a lot of films like this but we cant say that all of them are rite or all of them are wrong, each person/s has their own idea on how to show Jesus. But, in saying that, we must take into account that most of the gossiples have been left out so its difficult for people like me who is starting to get back into this to say all this is rite or all this is wrong. We all have different views on this so just be thankful that others are trying to show the bible in film..

THIS MOVIE IS BLASPHEMY !!! where in the scripture does it say any of this going on?? this paints a picture of jesus in the eyes of men not what god said and painted!! Jesus would not have made his father feel guilty for not helping him or would have lead a woman to think that anything could of happen with his deceiving long looking gazes!!?? Because the scriptures say do unto others as you would want done to you .. right?? or did i make that up ..

@ryryr87 I hate to be the first to tell you this, but The Gospels were written by Men and are re-tellings after the fact of things that happened thru their eyes. They are Not the words of God, aside from quotes atributed to Jesus. Moreover, The New Testament is a compliation of selected religious writtings. It was put together by Men at the Councils of Carthage in 397 and 419AD. There were and are Gospels that were not chosen to be included todays Bible for one reason or the other.

@GaoAsaurusG Actually the first Christian Council was that of Nicaea in 325 when many of the doctrines of the current church were laid down. There were of course as you say other councils that discussed which doctrines were acceptable and which were not. It's quite a complicated issue.

@TheVaughan5 Sorry, but The council of Nicea did not create the doctrine of the deity of Christ (as is sometimes claimed) but it did settle to some degree the debate within the Early Christian communities regarding the divinity of Christ.

this film is awful....sorry folks but it is...there is plenty of better ones then this. why hasnt a really good film been done yet. they could easily do a blockbuster like set in the future or something....and hear me out before you say "blasphomy"! lolcause we need to get back to telling this to the kids again. so tell the story in a futuristic way so it has a modern feel to it. keep the story the same as its written but instead of horses there driving cars or bikes you know what i mean.

You know the part of the beginning was actually made up...but it could've happened. And I don't exactly believe that Mary Magdelene was ilove with Jesus...

i dnt know why some people think that if it wasnt in the bible then it couldnt of happened. the gospels that the apostles wrote down, the ones that made it into the bible as well as those that did not, were never meant to be the entire truth of what happened. the man yeashua would of had to lived, just like all of us, and that means there is ALOT that he must of done that the apostles disciples never mentioned.. right?

This movie does not line up with the Word of God(Holy Bible). Jesus of Nazereth and the Passion of the Christ where way better movies then this movie, Though they may have messed up in certian parts, never the less they lined up with the Bible way more then this movie did.

@FaithfulKnowledge I don't agree at all. I think people forget the fact that he was a MAN too. That's a huge part of who Yeshua was on earth and apart of his purpose on earth as well. If God wanted this Gnostic notion of Jesus as a 'pure spirit' walking around, I mean is God NOT pure spirit? God would've come Himself in that case. You CANNOT dismiss the humanity of Yeshua.

@FaithfulKnowledge It lines up with what the bible says about itself. All the works and knowledge of Yeshua *Jesus* are NOT all present in the bible. John 21:25 where the bible itself states that all the things Yeshua did were not ALL recorded, and if they were, the world would not have enough room to receive it.

i really like this movie...i watched some of it in a hotel room once and the way the actor characterized Him was great...humanity and divinity in one. A nice, playful, happy guy that loves his friends and family, and is a little doubtful of himself at first, but trusts in God and does what he has to do for the good of the world. the dialogue is a little silly at times though, but it's a charming miniseries

Oh my God! ...the forty second beginning/intro to the face of 'Jesus' is such an assault on so many levels ...I almost stopped watching... ...in fact I did stop while I typed this comment...
