Good old United Utilities and their fancy treatment works! I photograph regularly from Woodside and the Rock Ferry esplanade, and you can even smell the difference in cleanliness. The river festival this year was excellent.

Wow the Mersey must be getting a lot cleaner, no idea there was cod. Are they safe to eat? Did u make fish and chips that evening ?

The Mersey is a lot cleaner these days.

The Cod are winter visitors and are perfectly safe to eat.

There is not much that can touch fresh, caught the same day, pan fried Cod :)
