B 7/8 FA from 93-early 95. Moved over to A 1/8 FA after we deactivated. Lot of good memories around there.

I remember the Quad back from 1979-1982. Many a P.T. drill , deployment to the field and other things rush through my mind. Such a shame they had to destroy it, the place survived Dec 7 1941 . Again such a shame.

Which one was I-Quad? I was a kid when there. I see from wikimapia that a parking lot has been built between B and C quads, behind the museum. That's where the Shoppette and the library were in the mid-'80s.

HHS 2/11 Forward Observer, I remember playin Hurricane Iniki football in that grass in 1992 Many days of PT in that grass, to bad I couldn't of seen it again before it was tore down

Sad man. I was at B quad (1/25 Avn) from 1989-91. Please tell me they are retro-fitting and not demolishing that building. Those old quads are beautiful.

B Quad is still there! They refinished them and updated everything. Looks very nice but still has the appearance of being the same style and look from years gone by.

b quads here, sitting in it right now lol, yes nothings been done, still same buildings. on contrary, they have not been updated, and they do not look nice. unfortunatly, its pretty dim living conditions.

Yep I lived there for 2 years up until we left for Iraq where I am now. Thank god its destroyed, that place brings bad memories of horrible PT.

You will look back on that PT years from now and realize that it helped to mold you and shape your life. I am sure that you will get just as memorable PT no matter where your new barracks are at! HOOAH!!!!

Yep 7/8 deactivated in 94 I believe. Thats when I went over to 2/11. Hurricane club used to be to the left of the shopette across the street. Spent many a night there with Mr. Jimmy Bean and friends. Then trudged across the Quad back to the barracks. Good times To be twenty again...Should say 21 lol. Was still there when I left for Ft.Hood in 95. Aloha to you too. Thanks. Great memories. Glad I could document this to share with everyone. I went by the old I Quad today and they are already starting construction of the new buildings. They dont wait long at all once they demolish.

wow good old I Quad spent 4 years there and many night their across the street in the old Hurricane club. 7/8 F.A. Red Dragons then 2/11 F.A. on time. Good times. Sure brings back some memories..

I never heard of the Hurricane Club. What year was that? I think 7/8 was relocated to Ft Lewis in the 1990's. I retired from 2-11 FA. Aloha Groverbuilt.

ah i rememebr I quad. i was in D quad, but i was only there not too long ago. when was it taken down finally?

I Quad is still standing but not for long. I am not sure about D Quad but I think it is still there however it has been fully renovated.

Oh, I thought you meant they were bringing the buildings down. But I guess you meant they will still stand, but just get renovated. Thats good to know.  I'm glad you took this video. Those were my barracks in 1988, A Battery 3/7 FA.

Villarte-More videos to follow when I see more progress being made. 3/7 was still in those barracks from 1988 all the way up til their deployment to Iraq in 2006. Once they deployed, some MP's and others moved in but only for a short time. Everyone is out of those barracks now.
