  • bob barker will always be the "star" of the price is right

  • Bob, if you should happen to read this post, I hope you're enjoying your retirement. Although I still wish you were on "The Price is Right", I hope you're happy with life after "TPiR". The show isn't the same without you. Thank you for 50 wonderful years in television. You've definitely left your mark on the entertainment industry! Best wishes, Mr. Barker!!!

  • When I first heard about it, I never knew what it would be until I found out that it was really another primetime special of The Price Is Right. I think that was the best way to celebrate that.

  • The 2 people who disliked this is both Holly Hallstrom and Dian Parkinson.

  • Bob's a legend!

    Thumbs up if you agree!

  • first time that the tpir logo was not used to introduce barker

  • @snoop0851 No.

  • 0:33 IT'S WALKER!

  • HAPPY 55TH YEAR BOB!

  • I would love to see Drew do stuff like this! Drew's not like Bob!

  • I dont know about u guys but i want him back

  • does any one know if Bob baker is still doing tv

  • that was Jackie Chan, Dude!

  • 0:28 I present Bob, the new Chuck norris :P

  • @aiboluver 0:29- HO...LY....SHIT.... look familiar?

  • Noah is my friends brother..haha so awesome!

  • I think this it currently the last TRIPLE PLAY win.

  • 0:36

The audience was so quiet for a moment! LOL

  • @iljason13 Amen to that. He's the most spontaneous host of those beauty pageants.

  • I love how he delivered the line "Come on down!" c",)

  • Robert "Bob" William Barker, born December 12, 1923.

  • Bob Barker is one of the finest ambassadors of America. I dont know if many Americans know how many legal immigrants he welcomed to this country and made feel comfortable and loved. Many legal immigrants feel isolated and lonely you see and tv can be their only connection for a while before they make friends with Americans.

  • i wonder why he never had an kids. i'm sure if he had a son he would be soooo damn hot!

  • he was cute as a teen. lol. i dont want him to ever die!!

  • Those price gaps were HUGE. They really wanted to give away a lot of stuff that night.

  • I like the TV history one of these is Bob Barker

  • 0:34

When the second coming of Chuck Norris is complete, Bob Barker will be Prime Minister of the Empire of Kickass.

  • Miss Bob Barker...Peter is a cutie! ;)

  • This is the only primetime special besides the 30th anniversary special that used the Million Dollar Spectacular theme. I like that. Look at Peter Landis at 4:13 jumping up and down after Rich said "A NEW CAR!!!" He looked more excited than anyone else.

  • Bob Barker is a legend, one of the greatest game show hosts ever.

  • @HollywoodDerekPoop Lol Hes Not Dead Hes just retired

  • @GameShowJohnny007 Bob is a black belt, and Jackie Chan WAS one of his teachers.

  • Comment removed

  • The Price is Right now sucks since he's gone. = (

  • Great win, I miss Bob. He really was the greatest gameshow host that ever lived.

  • 2:06~ LMFAO, two guys are bowing for Bob! xD "All hail BOB BARKER!!!"

  • Bob Barker is a legend! Since he is retired now, one of the things I really miss is the inspiration putts he used to make in the "Hole In One (or Two) game. Man, he was really good at sinking his putt. And if he missed his putt, he hated the game. LMAO

  • 0:32, that bust of Bob looks downright evil.

  • I was glad he won! Great win! But i've always wondered how did he feel knowing he would have to pay taxes on all three of those cars!! LOL!

  • love it thats my favorite game

  • 50 years of grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr8 momments

  • WOW that was a fantastic 50 years with Bob Barker.

  • Man bob was pretty good looking at one time

  • Man, Rich Fields likes to say Bob's name so loud!

  • When I saw Promos for this Special, I did not know, they were gonna have pricing games.

  • Me neither, I was getting a documentary vibe from the commercials. But I also thought that it was really cool that they played some pricing games too.

  • Truthfully, even if it WAS a documentary, I'd still have watched it.

The fact that they basically played a half-hour version of TPiR was just an added bonus.

  • Gotta love how Bob teases the contestants like that lol.

  • as you know Bob Barker was on Raw last night

  • Look at :28 in the beginning. Bob Barker's hair was grey before 1987. Damn those executives for making him dye his hair until that year.

  • Bob is the legendary host.

  • from barker's 50 years on tv had played 3 pricing games

  • I understand that a trip to Hawaii was also the first item up for bids on the TPIR 25th Anniversary Special back in '96 (music cue and all), and even THAT hour-long special had 3 Pricing Games and a lot of reminiscing.

  • Same with the 5000th episode

  • he could drive one car...and tow the other 2 home...or maybe get a friend or family member to help out. Nah...i'd just drive one come back drive the other one..then come back and drive the other one home

  • Bob is coming on "The Price Is Right" tomorrow! :D So it's a good thing one of my grandma's friends is taping it for me to watch when I come home tomorrow! :D Bob Barker is The.Best.Show.Host.Ever. <3

  • Sell one car to pay the taxes.

  • i would keep the mustang and sell the other 2 :P

  • I miss Bob!

  • @catholicpriest1 Me too! I'm still getting used to Drew!

  • Aw, Man! Really? I think i did hear something about that. I was really looking forward to it.

  • They Forgot the big noise again.

  • However, it is not known if Bob's appearance will be cancelled or if his appearance will be rescheduled.

  • The show will tape March 3 and will April 6.

  • note how not once is this specific show called 'The Price is Right' =P

  • He just won 3 cars, wonder how much in taxes he will have to pay

  • And bruce forsyth is a ledgend to

  • Same here!

  • Bob Barker=Legend and an animal lover! Also I love Rich's introduction saying:BOOOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBBB BARRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! God Bless Bob!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes indeed that's the late Dororthy Jo Barker.

  • 3 cars???????????? DAM wtg man

  • they could of @ least done something special 4 him @ the begining CHEAP bastards.(WTG BOB from your fans.)

  • yeah, I mean jezz, they could've had a cake, (regular, or dietbetic (I know it's wrong) for him), and streamers, and other stuff

  • Bob Barker = Legend!

  • What do you mean by "last playing was since 4/30/08"? The last playing was in April 2003. Do you mean it was retired in April 2008? I had thought it was on hiatus (like Penny Ante was from 2002 - 2007), because it was difficult to play the game without making edits and that a new (smaller) design was in the works, and the game would be played on the turntable. I didn't realize that it had since been retired despite their great idea.

  • Also, Poker Game was retired. Again, no specific reason was given on why the game was retired. Hopefully, we'll find out why soon.

  • What a great show and a good tribute to the legendary Bob Barker. He really has been with us in one show or another for 50 years entertaining us with his sense of humor, fake-outs, and impatience. I miss Bob Barker, I have nothing against Drew Carey but Bob is better. This special and the 25th anniversary special seems to be more about reminissing than gameplay and follows the half hour format. Triple Play is an exciting play but difficult to win and distribute the cars. This will be good.

  • This is unbelieve Night for Bob Barker. One I like the Most is Adam Sandler Movie. "Thank you Very Much.....No (Kick in the Face)You had a Enough....Bitch.".

  • can you guys imagine how many times he's had to hear the price is right theme????? im surprised hes not paranoid from it lol.

  • That'd be AWESOME He Should make an Appearance I really wonder what he thinks of Drew Hosting, The Music & The Set!

  • You never know. When they were still searching for a new host, there was a rumor that Bob would continue for a few more months until they could find a suitable replacement.

  • they should let bob host one more time when they have the 7000th show

  • I'm not trying to be mean or anything but why can't people accept the fact that Bob is retired and (except for a rare cameo) will never be seen on The Price is Right again?

  • That beautiful thing? Do you mean the car or the woman? LOL!

  • Yeah, they don't play it that much. I only see it about once a month.

  • Wow! A Cadillac, Ford Mustang convertible, and a Dodge Avenger! Plus the trip, he had already won $97,735

  • I abolutely love's Rich's intro, "BOBBBBBBBBBBB BARRRRRRKERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

  • A great special show! We love BOB!

The show is in good hands with Drew!

  • Uh, YES WE DID SEE IT!

  • I want to see Bob host the MDS...watch the ratings jump sky high that night

  • can you imagine how much the insurance would cost on all those cars?

  • Or the amount of tax to pay?

  • I don't know... Drew Carey is supposed to take over. Let the announcer be on camera. Atleast get a few celebs to make guest apperances.

  • i do agree with you there, i wish they would show rich on camera more... i miss the days of seeing rod roddy on camera calling a contestant.

  • The decision of whether or not the announcer is shown on camera was solely at Bob's discretion when he was Exec. Producer.

  • It aired a few weeks before Bob's Last Show & Yes it was a Night Show!

  • hey when did this air and was it @ night?

  • I simply just love the excitement of 1:04!

  • Was this already on cbs alreadly or are they showing it again.

  • Nope, it was just a special primetime edition. No, Bob's last TPIR was a month and a half ago. And from what I hear, it isn't gonna be the last TPIR ever, as long as Drew has anything to do with it lol

  • sorry rageboy, I didn't know you were so sensitive, I can send someone over to give you a hugg, if that'll make you feel better

  • He's not dead genius

  • Touche. and my IQ is 105.

  • dumbass

  • Douche-Bag

  • no, you're the dumbass and douche bag since you're just being stupid and trying to start shit with people. i don't believe for a second that your iq is 129, what are you getting it checked for anyway? you doing some stupid free internet test?

  • LOL, you inbred, yea, well why don't take an IQ test, and come back and post it, I guarantee you'll score on a 4th grade level

  • at least you're not some guy named "BeijingOlympics"

  • thanks so much! I regretted missing this. Thanks for posting this

  • thanks a bunchh.

    i totallyy heard about this

    last minute, and didn't

catch up in time to watch it.

  • The special will still be on YouTube for as long as last.

  • i agree

  • and he was born on the same day as me

  • lucky bastard

  • This show was full of fun, memories, and greatness all around! Let me be one to say (again), thank you Bob, for letting you into our homes for 50 years!

  • You are the best! Thanks so much!

  • Even though this show was not a Million Dollar Spectacular, the "Come On Down" music you hear at the start of this special episode is the one used for the Million Dollar Spectacular episodes.

  • Yeah, I believe this was only the second non-MDS TPIR special to use it. (The first was the 30th Anniversary Special in Vegas in 2002)

  • AWESOME win!

  • he said "serious" radio instead of sirus.

  • Speaking of 20 seconds in, that opening montage was AWESOME!!!! Good work, CBS!! I loved it. :)

  • That's different "Come on Down" music. I love it. I've heard it on other specials. Is that out on the net somewhere???

  • If they change anything on the show, that come on music would be enough. I think it would jazz the show up, but we'd still get the regular theme that follows, as well as the traditional music when contestants 5-9 are called down.

  • Wow! Totally awesome, I watched this when it aired, thanks for posting! My favorite shot in the opening sequence is that last picture of Bob with is PILE of EMMYS!!! You deserved them all, Bob! We'll miss you.

  • Notice when Peter gets called down, Robert, from the Million Dollar Spectacular, is sitting to the left of him. They were in the same group and visited the show both for the Million Dollar Spectacular and then the day later for the Bob Barker's 50th Special. Both were one of the first 4 called for each shows.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, DONT QUIT BOB! :(

  • OMG! Thanks for posting!

  • God! I get so many high-fives!
