I was a big Archies "Music' fan back then & when I got my first Hardy Boys record; I thought the were way more hip! Of course, on both I'm talking about the music. Wasn't really very into the actual shows. & I barely recall the Actual Hardy Boys show. 3 Other songs from the fist album, I like, are "Sink or Swim", Little Sweetpea" & "One Time in a Million". I have MP3s of both albums...
I have been seriously listening to music since 1963 and have 30+ years in as a radio announcer/Program Director. Out of all the music I have ever heard from every genre possible, I consider "My Little Sweetpea", "Namby Pamby", and "Sink Or Swim" to be among some of the finest songs I have ever heard.
"Sha La La" was the B-side of one of the Hardy Boys' singles, "Wheels" I think. Funny to see Chubby(Chet)playing an upright bass and then a drum kit--he normally played the saxophone!
amazingly enough, i have both of the RCA albums, Here Come the Hardys and Wheels. trust when i say that when i want a hit of the good old days (i was a kid at the time) i out these on...i even transferred the albums to CD so i could play them whereever i am... I'm wroking on mp3...
I hope the people at RCA records can release their songs on CD. The more I listen to their music,the more I love it. Most of the songs are very catchy and sound better than today's pop music. That was a time when REAL instruments were used in songs instead of synths,programming,and lots of machines.
what a NICE song! like coming in for a landing and crawling out of the cockpit in low spirits after a hard day of it,trudging up the jetway to hugs and kisses from a lovely lady who can make life feel good again!{Wanda Kay,perhaps?}
I remember the show being in syndication in the Pittsburgh area on WPGH-TV Channel 53 in the early seventies...but definitely no later than '75. As for what they were doing in NYC around that time is beyond me. WPGH showed it on Sunday afternoons at either 1pm or 1:30. I vaguely remember that, but I never missed any of the original airings on Saturday mornings right after "Hot Wheels" and right before "Sky Hawks"...
OMG!! I thought I was dreaming! I am 34 but I remember seeing this in syndication 1977 in the ny metropolitan area. Can someone confirm this?? Because the hardy boys cartoon has haunted my memory; I do remember shaun cassidy (my first crush as a 4 year old:).

This is cleary lip-synched. No wonder cartoon bubble-gum bands have so little credibility.
