Pits are not bad or ill-tempered dogs, quite the opposite. The problem with pits is their capability. When a pit goes bad, of course the outcome can be disasterous, but u need to check the owners, not the breed. I've ran into quite a few hyper-aggressive chihuahuas (amongst other breeds), but the difference is they don't have the ability to inflict any real damage, so you never even hear about it .

pits are brawlers, only recently bred to fight (illegally) gs have been bred for centuries to hunt attack and guard, they have twice as much muscle mass as pit bulls and can run rings around them. That's why you don't see any pits on the police or army forces, but instead tied to a pole in a junkyard, pits look mean but they are slower, less flexible and technically have lower IQs on average.

i work with dogs for a living.the offspring usually acts like the parents... even if raised in a nice way.agression is a trait that is passed down just as shyness, looks and intelligence. rule of thumb ..if the parents are nice then their is a good chance that the pups will be nice.pit bulls and bully breeds are the cutest in my opinion.i have heard many stories of extreme loyality and love from pitbulls. your dogs are adorable!

Better to have more than 1 dog when you have a pit bull. The pit is raised to interact well with other dogs-not psycho/kill them. I rescued a pup that's staff/chow. There were signs someone had been mutilating her to make her a fight dog. She escaped. She's such a sweet whimp. She would have been killed. Gladshe wasn't. She's reacted to my epilepsy & has received training to become my service dog. I cannot understand these animals being considered trash. People thinking this us trash.
