Waaaay too slow. The chandelier in NYC falls much quickly and crashes on the stage. What's really cool is there are seats right under the chandelier, so when it falls it comes about 10 feet about the seats before it whips to the stage. :D

The NYC chandelier is slow as hell..

Fastest (replica) chandeliers were in Australia, Spain and Switzerland.

And remember this is an amateur production, I think this is great staging of this scene.

Ours full, maybe 4 times faster? I had literally one second to dash off of the stage (I was playing the role of Piangi) before the chandelier would have hit us. The first time it fell it *did* hit one of our actresses.
