  • your style is beautiful it's a style I wish I knew how to master. I have tried the layering effect and it usually comes out off balance. your super talented. would love to see you do a layered paged from beginnig to end. pretty please

    hugs,

    Maggie

  • Ohhh Maggie, maybe Santa (or his helper) will be able to deliver on that request before Christmas. Many more hugs back at ya!!!!!!!

  • woot! keep the vids coming. i did something similar long time ago with a box of fries i got at a local restaurant. i didnt have a cricut back then and needed a box for favors. i think i might have to try your idea though. it sounds crazy but one thing that stops me from scrapbooking is the exposed journaling. in turn, keeps me from sharing online. thank you for the inspo!

  • OH you are one lucky scrapper.....i just have 3 basic font cartridges. I haven't purchased anymore because I always have to decide between the pricey cartridges and more scrap goodies. OHHHH the torture! Glad you had fun watching!

  • Fantastic LO! Love your videos.

  • sooooo, do you have a rule of thumb for choosing paper? You choose such amazing and unconventional patterns and colors that work so wonderfully together!

  • That is a great question. Sometimes I choose patterns that all have at least one color that unites them together and at other times I select patterns that seem to almost inherently CLASH. When papers seem to clash, I may use the embellishments to create some sort of unifying theme on the page. And, I have also been known to just grab random scraps that are sitting on my desk and just go for it. This does not always work but at least I am not wasting any of my beautiful paper.

  • Oh....and I do tend to place the heavier/darker paper on the bottom on a layout. This can help to "ground" the page. The "trick" with embellishments and using them to unify clashing papers is to try to use them in threes. If you look at the "Zoom Baby" page in this vid, red is the unifying color of the embellishments and helps to pull the page together. Hope this makes sense and happy scrapping.

  • I can do that with interior decorating and upholstery, I'll have to be more daring with my paper! But I also love your color choices, they aren't colors I normally use but Watch Out!! Thanks so much, I'd love to hear more of your tips and see more layouts!!

  • Oh! i love that idea of tracing the starbucks sleeve. Im goin to have to try it. And very cute and fresh layouts.
