Listen, I speak from EXPERIENCE. You don't stay together because you have 8 or 10 kids with someone. When parents are being abusive towards one another in front of the kids, you either get counseling or get out of the relationship. My mother has SEVEN kids by my father. He was verbally abusive and she saw how it started to affect us--the kids so she got out. My parents shared custody just as Kate & Jon do and my dad got the help he needed. In the end we were much happier & our parents got along.

I don't think they could live on a nurse's salary now after all of the cash that's been thrown their way. They spent like the show would never end. The kids don't need to see Mom & Dad ripping each other's hair out on TV. What kind of a show will it be now? There's no FAMILY anymore....just 2 people who will try to one-up each other with their children. It's sad, and the kids deserve to return to "normal", whatever THAT is.

The money Jon & Kate made from the existence of their 8 children and doing this show should, 80 percent ( 10% for each child ) directly goes into each individual child trust fund, The 20 percent goes to household spending.

This show must NOT continue, for the good of their kids. They are likely devasted that their parents are getting a divorce, and to have their lives televised for millions of people will inevitably scar them for life.

I think that everyone is over-reacting because they are worried the show will be cancelled.
We all need to take a "chill pill" along with a deep breath.
The show will go on...the show must gon on, to quote Kate.
I believe that it will 7 that it will be even BETTER than before.
Word is, Jon's new gal pal, the 23 yr old teacher will be appearing on the show.
The whole step-mother/girlfrient facet will be riveting TV.
And Kate's Jealousy will bring a lot of drama to the surface.

My dad has 11 brothers and sisters (Parents are from india).. my grandma brought them up perfectly, 2 lawyers, 1 doctor and the rest business men.. No reason to be bossy or divorce.. probably the worst decision interms of the children..

I feel really bad for this couple splitting up . I love the show and their kids are adorable. Of course he was happy working, he liked his job, and he didn't plan on wrapping his life around a stupid show that did not allow them any reality. Jon needs to grow up! If he didn't want to take on the job of being a parent then he shouldn't have had children! When you have kids, it becomes your priority to put them first and not yourself.
She is a good person, trying to raise a family and keep a household while Jon wants to run off and live that life he feels he never got to experience due to the show and his kids. GROW UP
However, with that said, the hardest decisions to make are usually the best decisions.

Those poor kids you are so right they should give up the tv show and try to work on their marriage but at this point Jon has probably been put down so much I don't know if it would work.The bad thing is those children do not need tv cams around all the time while they are trying to deal with this, but at least they are going to trade off staying in the house with the kids and they don't have to be jerked around when ever the visitation changes.

Its not that Jon cant hold a job..... He doesnt need one, because of the money the show brings in... Therefore he quit. Kate isn't bringing in money outside of the show either. In all seriousness if their family is being split up because of the show and fame, they need to stop the show and go back to Jon working. They have made enough income to last them, and when they feel that they are ready they can come back to the show, but really everything is crap at this point anyway.
