Nice car. really hauls. I'm currently building a 406 for my 85 silverado short bed. I got a cam similar to yours only it was designed for oval track. It's a Comp Cams 280H8 and has tighter lobe centers like 108. It was recommended to me by another engine builder. I guess the hardest thing is trying to save enough money for decent heads. Anyways, let us know if ya take that wild thing to the track. I'd like to see how quick it is. good luck! great video!!

hey thanks for the comments on my page. wish I had a current video of my set up now. the video that you watched it still had steel GM 441 heads on it and a Comp Cams Magnum 280 cam. Its a whole new animal now with the AFRs and mighty demon and all that. Again, nice project man!

Hey nice project you got there, forget the haters. Just wanted to let ya know Ive got a 383 with aluminum AFR heads mighty demon 750 and msd pro billet hei distributor. Made 450 hp and 479 ft lbs of torque, and we tried two different spacers. a 4 hole and an open one also. I think I read u have a super sucker on there, and my engine lost quite a bit of torque and volumetric effeciency from the spacers. And Im running Weiands version of an air gap. So you might wanna try without it. jus sayin

Info for all you Malibu wagon guys out there ..On My 78 Malibu 355 I went thru 4 different intake manifolds before I " Seen the light" I ended up with the First Generation Stealth intake with 1 inch phenolic spacer under a worked 650 holley and the only problem I had was the under hood clearance using the short cowl induction hood so I wasn't able to use as much air filter as I liked. But super mid to high end pulling power and great down low on the RPM as well .

@JOsEGoMeZ211 why isnt it a 383 stroker? a 383 stroker can be just a normal stoke motor, all it is, is a 350 with a 400 crank bored.30 over, doesnt have to have a big cam, it will just make more torque than a stock 350.just because its not a 500 hp 383 doesnt mean its a 383. get you shit right
