  • Comment removed

  • its xl

  • dsi xl

  • who cars

  • dsi xl for god saks evry one vidieo is ll its driving me so so crazy cool cool i guss...so hi... and japines...xl ok

  • funny part - 2:13

  • nice vid

  • question. can you change the language on the whole system to english so its not japanese

  • the 3ds is gonna be so much better, you should have waited for that because the dsi LL is way to pixelated because they didn't improve the screen resolution

  • im gonna get the nintendo 3ds

  • i want to knw wats the difference between a dsi xl and a dsi ll

  • @FlyLilace A DSi LL and a DSi XL is the same thing, except in Japan, they call it a DSi LL and here, we call it a DSi XL.

  • ese se la mata al psp

  • ijch13 tienes razon

  • lo anincian el 7 de enero y lo via visto hece 4 dias

  • This may have already been said, but not all games are region free now in a DSi, Pokémon Black is one example. It doesn't work in my sisters DSi, but at least works in my DS lite. Any cart game that has DSi enhancements is not region free.

  • lol, wario caps!

  • dsi xl the same but larger

  • I have 2 ds lites, a dsi and a dsi xl. xD

DSi XL feels like better than DSi xD

  • why didnt you wait for the dsi xl

  • haha the dumb people that got dsi xl cant get the 3ds now

  • which is better? Dsi LL or 3Ds?

  • @mario64333 3DS

  • 2:06 - An Extra Large touchpen is included and acually feels good in your hand LOL

  • I was contemplating getting one of these since I haven't picked up a DS yet, but I just found out that Nintendo is set to showcase their new 3DS at E3. So now I'm not sure, even if the 3D gimmick turns out to be a flop (Again, Virtual Boy anyone?), the price of the old DSes's will drop significantly.

  • it's so big, less portable, comes in horrible colors and sucks :[

  • not fair ]: only japan gets the natural white one D:

  • dont u mean xl?

  • at first im like o wow the DSi but bigger intill i saw all the videos i looks AWESOME

  • Waaa... I want to buy one but I can't speak japanese and I'm in Taiwan.. so all the versions here are in japanese... I don't know what to do Y_Y

  • eh, if my dsi breaks or something, or maybe a few years, i might wanna get it ;)

  • can you hack it with those ds chips or dsi homebrew

  • Personally, I don't know as I don't use hacks.

  • @greenyoshi64 If you're talking about flashcarts, then yes, DSi flashcarts work on the DSi XL. If you're talking about softmods however, you're out of luck.

  • @greenyoshi64 yes

  • @xSouthSide13 It's not my problem that you have such tight pants.

  • The captions are a FAIL.

  • If you already have a DSi you shouldnt buy this but if you don't and want one go get this one but i think it's to soon to release a new DS it hasnt even been a year since the DSi came out

  • @xSouthSide13 You are such a jackass! Yes, it is bigger, but the screens are also bigger and the design and graphics are much better and, if you don't like it, you have a serious problem of retardation (no offence).

  • they better release the big pen seperatly the small stylus sucks i get cramps all the time

  • they both come in the box

  • great video thanks. I am trading in my dsi for the xl. yippie!

Large screens are not just for the older generation. My eye sight is 20/20. I like to have a large TV screen in my lounge and a large dsi in my hand ;-)

  • Does the new DSi LL have the GBA port? I would hope that when they made it bigger, they'd put the GBA port back in...

  • @Gaypuppetbomber it is exactly as thin as the DSi so no... no gba port...

BUT don't be sad.. they said that they might sell the gba games upgraded on the DSi shop :D

  • Ah, I see... well, I probably won't buy it anyway. it doesn't look that awesome. Unless my DS lite breaks in the near future...

  • muy bueno!!! que bonito garro de wario yo kiero uno alguien sabe donde compro uno =??

  • Very nice video.

I don't own any version of the DS, but when I saw the DSi XL I decided I wanted one. Badly.

I just wish I knew when it was going to be released in the United States, and at what price.

  • @xm15e2s about

    150 $ i think it was :D

  • @leepailong123

itll actually be relasing on march 28th, and for 190.00 USD

  • @guitarmaster12296

    Nope in march 5

    for 249$ (in sweden)

  • hu... man this review defianetly made me want a dsi xl/ll i mean i still was gonna buy it cause im a nintendo collector but i didnt really have the pleasure until i watched this vid thx man i mean 1100 free dsi points who could give that up?

  • im going to get a clear see through casing on my original dsi and have a 16gb memory card in my acekardi and its going to be the shit. haha my dsi i have right now got chewed on by my dog i hate it now i want one of these in white! and put a invisishield on it!!

  • there is no white in the uk :(

  • nic overview of the dsi ll dude

  • DSi LLって海外ではまだだったのか、知らなかったよ。

  • thank god i still havent bought my DS

  • Nice!!!

    Subscribed!

  • are those the real release dates?

  • They are the release dates I could find on the Nintendo Press site.

  • if those are the release dates doesn't that make it 2nd quarter release cause Nintendo said it was going to be 1st quarter of 2010

  • @kinggouki it's desided in the us it comes a month later then europe and eu

    is 5 march

  • The screen increase a bit, which it's good. & i guess the big stylus is really for granny gamers out there & for those ppl who are having a hard time holding the normal stylus(Which i am).

  • I got a DSi so it's very unlikly I'll get this. Shame, it looks great.

  • i was planning to get this ds as soon as i saw it. i only have the DS "fat" so i think it's a little overdo to get a new DS.

  • This made me want a DSi LL!! I'm not old, but I'm far-sighted. That huge screen would be awesome, especially since I don't have a DSi yet. Thanks for showing yours off!

  • I heard that DSi-exclusive games are gonna be region locked, so watch out for that

I'm not sure if it's true though

  • I rarely play my DS these days and hadn't really followed the LL. However your review peaked my interest so I may look into it when it gets an EU release.

  • I might actually get this bc I'm lame and still running on an original GBA

  • I gotta say, I'm really starting to like the way DSiLL looks. I wish they would have had colors like that for the DSi when I bought it. Like you said, all they have is the "fun colors". All they had when I bought mine was Black and Blue.

Nice video man, keep it up.

  • He's right. Like the Wii, games are lined to one system. That's to stop pirates and thieves.

I know it can suck, but... them's the breaks.

  • @JewWario Why is your system in all Japanese

  • ...because it's Japanese? Duh...

  • @Poki3 Obiously stupid. He isn't Japanese.

  • "It's", not "he's". It's 2010. You know how easy it is to buy things in other countries and have them mail it to you?

  • @Poki3 What are you talking about idiot?. I have Japanese games mailed to me aswell. I'm asking why his DSi is Japanese, It really wasn't a question to you, So why annoy me over it?

  • because His DSi LL is Japanese, that's what I'm telling you.

  • @Poki3 I know it is. I asked why he bought the Japanese one instead of a US one. He might prefer Japanese DSi games. It was a question for him.

  • I want this so bad. I've owned every DS line since it first came out. But I have a question. How do you transfer your old DSi Ware games/pictures/etc to the new DSi LL?

  • An interesting and informative review, thanks for this!

  • id buy one if i had the money

  • i got the lite, but i liked this new ds and i'm considering to buy it (even more now, after watching this review)

i'm gonna wait for the release in the us, since i can't read japanese

thanks a lot for this review jew wario, it helped me to decide

  • I have a black DSi. Was lucky to win it in a contest.

I find it too skinny and too small. There's not comfortable way for me to hold it so that it's steady, and I can press all the face and shoulder buttons at the same time. I have to take my fingers off the shoulder buttons often. My hands are skinny, but pretty big.

Disappointed with the lack of a GBA slot. Really. I'd like to play some GBA games, but any original GBA owner knows what a pain it is to play without the backlight :/

  • 2 questions for you: Since the resolution on the screen is the same, do you notice that the pixels are too big? Is it noticeable or bothersome?

Also, you probably heard the rumors about a new Nintendo handheld. I had my DS for a half a year, and here I hear that they're making a new one already. Makes me grin :/

  • Finally, I'm personally not happy with the DS. It's absolutely flooded with every possible variety of puzzle games, and I simply cannot play those for longer periods of time (I get bored) and after a while I just drop the game, since I know that I'll play it for a bit and get bored so I just don't bother. Even great games like Braid, World of Goo and Puzzle Quest fel victim to this, though they made me realize that I should never buy another puzzle game ever again and stick to free flash games.

  • Finding something that's not a puzzle game and would interest me is hard. The only game I have is Kingdom Hearts, and that's because I'm a HUGE KH fan.

DSi Ware is pretty bad (puzzle games, sudoku games... clocks -_-)

To top if all of, Nintendo does not publish ANY games in Poland, so the only thing in stores are EA and Ubi Soft published games. The Wii and DS are completely dead over here and you have to import everything. Good thing the dollar is still low, and importing is cheep.

  • Well, there's this game called Castle Of Magic that's available on DSiWare (released on 11/23/09). It's a nice little platformer that you should check out, plus, it's worth only 500 Nintendo Points!

  • Gameloft is basically "Hey, you want to play cell phone games on your DS?" and I'm turned off by that.

Besides, I'm not good at platformers. Never did beat Super Mario Bros...

  • Huh, well I was going to also recommend Henry Hatsworth In The Puzzling Adventure and Giana Sisters DS, but since you say you aren't good at platformers...

  • it's great that it is region free... "little is pretty, but bigger can more" :D

  • Wow, this handheld system looks interesting! My grandmother always played on my Famicom, I'm sure she would love to have one of these. Sadly she passed away. :(

  • I might actually get that a few months after launch. My old school DS isn't in the best condition. Also nice SMT song choice.

  • great review, the dsi ll looks interesting but i think im gonna hold off on getting it since i already own DSlite and DSi

  • I want one yet i just bought my DSI and with three games i want coming out (Tatsunoko MAG and NMH2) I cant afford the DSILL T-T i always hate it when i upgrade yet then something flashy and new comes and mine becomes obselete

  • Great review as always. I look forward to your reviews since I got to know your show. I'm sure you started to play TV games in your childhood and I'm quite interested in how you got into it and how your game play has changed after you became an adult.

  • I got one a few weeks ago to play Spirit Tracks on, I got the red one too.

No idea why they did a brown one tho.

But My only gripe is there's no language options on it, like the DSi has. Bizarre.

  • wow, that looks cool. I held off getting a DS light for a long time, until my DS's touch screen went and died on me. Losing the GBA port is sad though, I have a big archive of GBA games.

  • Still, if anyone only has a phat or lite, I would recommend importing/getting an LL when it comes out.

  • I agree.

The handheld system is not just a one-trick pony, but it might be unnecessary for those that already have a DSi.

But with older folks getting more and more into video games than ever before, the Nintendo DSi LL will be a wonderful gift for Gran or Papa.

  • When I first heard of the DSi LL, I laughed because of it's primary selling point, but then I started to think like you and figure that the bigger screen will make most of the games look really good! Seeing as I already have a (very nice) black DSi, I won't be getting the LL at launch like I usually do for every other Nintendo console. In fact, I probably won't get it until the MSRP goes down, and even then, I'll get it used. :P
