  • there are plans to use that tunnel for a DLR extension, jubilee extension is not crappy, OK

  • well done lads

  • How did a child manage to get to see this is Daddy a tory MP

  • The crappy extension as you say has brought significant benefits to East and South East London it was too difficult to connect Charing Cross to the extension

Ironically the New Charing Cross is made up of the old Trafalgar Square and Strand Stations

  • this used to be the jubilee terminus platform until the extension was built. Wonder what they will do with this platform?

  • How does anyone dislike this vid? Its awesome. Its also pretty well done for what it is.

  • The old adverts plastered everywhere are so strange.

  • this is awesome! you sound like you really know your stuff about the tube system :)

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • whats traction current?

  • @jeffers550 the power Rail

  • really interesting! well done chaps!

  • lol that chap sounds a bit like Noel Fielding.

  • How good of the chap to let you down there...its good people have a passion for something and share it...rather than just seeing their job as a rat race way to just make money

  • that was so cool of them to let you in. have you been to any of the other disused stations?

  • THANK YOU!! i remember riding these escalators!

  • How deep below ground is the jubilee line at Charing Cross?

  • This Station was also used for the Film Flood with Robert Carlisle and David Suchet :)

  • So why is it disused?

  • @Sids60sSounds Because it went completely off route when TFL were building the Jubilee extension :)

  • @flynny42 thanks for the info

  • @Sids60sSounds You're welcome

  • @Sids60sSounds Because there's a cyclops living down there. It's too risky letting the public in.

  • wow how lucky were you. I would love to go and have a look.

  • Amazing!

  • very good video!!

  • They leave the lights on all the time?

  • Where abouts in Charing Cross is that? I have always wondered lol.

Nice video though, I was too young to remember when Jubilee Line served Charing Cross.

  • @No1RailwayEnthusiast I must confess that I WAS old enough to use Charing Cross - I traveled from Canons Park to Charing Cross from 1979 to 1987. Almost always a seat and a smooth ride. Sorry it has been closed (for the time being, at any rate).

  • that is very cool! I wonder what films they got footage for here

  • Nice work - thanks for sharing and thanks for doin in above board too

  • That's pretty nice. I'm really impressed by all tunnels and old station which are out of use on the tube.

  • Amazing, looked really familiar as well. I'm sure I must have been there at some point (1992 ish).

  • So it's just the Jubilee platforms at Charing Cross that have been closed is it? And is it a temporary thing or has it been like this for a while? I'm puzzled.

  • @Mancunian6 forever

  • 2:08 thought that was an incoming train!

  • Crappy extension, really?

  • very cool!

  • it was built as a through station with the original idea of the jle extension via bank

  • u lucky sods how did u do that

  • This is awesome!!! Its exactly where they shot the film "creep" from 2004..

thanks for uploading it..i was searching for this a long time, now i finally found it!!
