  • Jim Lacefield was my mentor on electric bass, circa mid 70's when he was first chair bass player at N.T.S.U.!

    he taught me how to hold it, nothing touched the bass neck but your thumb & rotation of fingers...

    I was so saddened by his passing.

    He was going to fing me a better practice amp...he found it, like it so much...he kept it!

    I'll never forget Jim Lacefield!
