I appreciate your comments, thanks! I bought the pot at Ikea - they come in pairs for 16 bucks, available online - I added the wooden knob. They are bit bit heavier than I would like, but solid and take a lot of abuse thrown into my pack.
I really like the pot your using for your cook kit. Is there anywhere I can get it or just one you picked up randomly? One suggestion I love seeing with cooking videos and such is just a quick run down of what is being used for the kit.
nice review and demo...the stove has a nice even flame pattern...have a great holiday...looks like the snow hasnt hit you yet.....Rich has some for all of us,lol.....NH is starting to get some in the mountains now.......still way behind though...safe trails..peace
That little Cooper is so cool...hehe! Great review on what looks like a good little stove buddy :o) Great price, that's for sure! Abe had throw my name in there eh...haha! Merry Christmas to you and your family good buddy! From the great whit north :o)
Cooper! Oops right this video is about the stove heh. I am going to beat Rich to this comment, you need a primer! That took 1:50 minutes to bloom though I think the aluminum ground plate is sucking heat away (PS I ordered the plate too!). Merry Christmas!
@phr1sk37 Yeah, the stove performed well, the operator needs practice - it's my first aluminum beer bottle stove, haha! You will enjoy that tree table. Best holiday wishes to you and your soon to be : )
Nicely done. Great review. And a couple shots with ole Cooper in the background. Good to see he is back out on the trail too. I'm gonna check out Davids site for sure. Looks like he does some fine work.
@dmacken11 He is a little scene stealer - thinking of moving him off to his own channel - LOL! David's stove is my first alum beer bottle - it's a good one.
Bill, it seems like that pot might be some kind of spice can that you might find at Wallyworld. Nice to see Cooper out on the trail. You have applied the principles of lightweight hiking to your hiking partner. LOL. Have a Merry Christmas.
@osscouter I bought the pot at Ikea - they come in pairs for 16 bucks, available online - I added the wooden knob. Great Cooper comment - he is definately lightweight for now, the Vet projects 30 pounds - even after the tail bob, LOL! Thanks!
@mikem1324 I bought the pot at Ikea - they come in pairs for 16 bucks, available online - I added the wooden knob. They are bit bit heavier than I would like, but solid and take a lot of abuse thrown into my pack. Appreciate you commenting, thanks!
Nice video. Nice stove! What is that pot? Looks like a kitchen counter sugar container or something? Also, what is the diameter of the pot so we can properly size up the stove?
@zalsentzer Thanks for watching and commenting! Very good guess - its a bathroom canister. I bought the pot at Ikea - they come in pairs for 16 bucks, available online - I added the wooden knob. Its 4 inches in diameter.
@steintanz The stoves are great - sure wish I could build a fire, like you can - too much wet wood, grasses, moss, leaves, bark, around here. (Don't tell my wife, yes, he gets a few bites ; )
@mtlyb So very kind of you to say, thank you! The gloves are Manzella glove liners with silicon beads on the palms and fingers - very llight weight and nimble to use. The silicon bowl and cup come as a set, made by Guyot Designs - they are called Squishy bowls - really easy to pack. Happy Holidays to you!
I have the same stove from David, 32 jets, works perfect, well made, looks good too, I was impressed for the low price. Enjoyed video.

What kind of gloves are those? I got Ov-Gloves to try for handling hot items. But they seem heavy.
Where did you get the silicone cup/bowl, etc?
