Douglas Murray seems very well-spoken and astute; I'm not sure if I agree with him yet. He's like a cross between Christopher Hitchens and Niall Ferguson.
Yeah. The "ladies and gentlemen" thing was definitely Hitchens :-). I just wish Hitchens would talk more about this sort of thing, rather than banging out about religion all the time.
Get a good understanding of the arguments against multiculturalism so that you don't seem like a bigot, then WRITE TO YOUR MP and convert your family and friends. Let's stop being frightened to say no to multiculturalism. Don't be afraid of the PC bullies! Multiculturalism has ruined, and is ruining, lives.
Multiculturalism is simply discrimination. That's it.
Look at the case of that French judge who submitted a verdict based on the Kuran. It means that in the court of law, non-Muslim wife beaters are discriminated against, because Muslim wife beaters don't get a lesser punishment.
It means that Muslim women are discriminated against because non-Muslim women get the justice of Western courts and not Islamic courts.
Multiculturalism is discrimination, pure and simple.
Multiculturalism is the result of political correctness. Europe will pay the ultimate price for its liberal border policies and guest workers program. By the time they try to react... it will be all over. That being said I'm not a big fan of this douche bag. He speaks like a realist but acts like an idealist. People who act on ideology are not to be trusted one bit.
When Turkey joins the EU immigration will massively increase. They see western europe as a place of luxury, wealth and sluttish, easy women. They will come in their thousands.
This guy is dead on about multiculturalism. A noble sentiment that needs to continue, however a way of carrying out that sentiment that just frankly does not work out to the benefit of the state and its citizens.
Murray is one of the bright lights on the side of good. People like him, Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Christopher Hitchens are being heard more and more.
Maybe it's me but I have started to notice that things are finally starting to turn on this politically correct, comrade, islamonazi alliance. It is no longer the case that they are winning the propaganda battle. More and more people are starting to get the message and are speaking out against this insidious disease.
I agree with everything he said except about the religion part. As a Muslim, I think religion brings about a lot of good and Britain being based on Christanity holds the main morals that comes with it which is a good thing - a British thing. Even if you do not believe in it, do not call it truth, just value it as part of Britain's roots, as cultural mythology.
Murray is a pin-striped blowhard who thinks David Cameron isn't right-wing enough. Not a serious figure.

A "noble sentiment"? Policy should be based on sentiment? You're a common Oprahist.
