Noel is very good at finding melodic phrasing from simple scales. He's actually a very good guitarist. Listen to Don't Look Back In Anger, Live Forever, Shout It Out Loud, D'ya Know What I Mean?, Supersonic, Rock N Roll Star, Importance Of Being Idle. They might be simple but even so.

Putting Noel Gallagher next to Slash, Hendrix and Clapton is probably a very big stretch, most of this solo is bending to 5ths.

Unless you play guitar yourself bit tricky comparing him to those guys, they are all far, far, far superior to Noel. This outro sounds cool but it's really not that difficult at all, mostly just single note bends to a higher string played as a 5th or 7th.

It blew me away in 1997. I got it on video, watched it a million times and it pinned me to the wall every time.
