  • What brand are these ? There good as!

  • Blow the horn, it's a regulation!

  • Nice set up. Nice job filming too.

  • I was waiting for the caboose...

  • badass!!:D

  • Where did you get those crossing gates? They are awesome!

  • dang i live in palmdale ca and the gates out here just comes down fast but some don't!!!!who cares lol but thats sick tho i need to get that with my set

  • You know what I was thinking ( DON"T THINK I"M STUPID) it to make the gates go up and down with really thin string and tie them to a small pully. I love the smooth movement of your gates!

  • Very nice, well done, bravissimo, das ist gut, pretty fricking good.

  • WTF! GTA at 1:07

  • well done but I didn't hear a horn

  • bello veramente complimenti

  • @ccolimon I did not see any graffiti

  • How sad that you have to paint the model cars with grafitti !

  • The gate action is so smooth and realistic ! Super !!

  • sweet video.

  • Do you use one Tortoise machine per gate, or does one machine control both gates? Also, why do you recommend the Switch Master switch machine? I'm not familiar with that one... just wondering, cause I plan on doing the same with my own crossing gates... Thanks! Rick

  • @Silver1Sprg Each gate has its own Tortiose. The voltage to them is reduced by the gate controller to get the slow speed action. Only problem is you lose your torque and the gates don;t always go down smoothly. Switchmaster will have higher torque. Jeff

  • @cpguy29 Ok, that makes sense.... thanks Jeff for the tip. I'll try it !!!!

  • Märklin H0?

  • Thanks for the great comments.

The gates are made by NJ International, the controller is by Grade crossing Pro and the bell sound unit is by ITT.Gates are controlled by Tortoises by I recommend getting a Switch Master switch machine.

  • That is so cool i wold like to buy one. where did you get it and how much did it cost?

  • are those signals from NJ International

  • what kinda set is this ? id like to get one for my layout

  • Well done! Put some sound in them units blast the horn and you got made!

  • did u use a hot wheels car @0:02

  • awesome signals!

  • Best model level crossing kit I've ever seen!

  • Was the graffiti on one of the last boxcars already on it when you, or whoever owns the set, bought it?

  • nice.

  • where did you get the gates

  • @NJTJake I saw some on Walthers.

  • why are the gates move slowly?

  • Where did you get those Farmland 3 bay hoppers? Are those Athearn models? The farmland plant here in Albert Lea MN burned down about 10 years ago, and I have always wanted a farmland car or to as kind of a "Memento" to the plant.

  • Two - not to.

  • @thetrainman407

    They are Athearn Genesis hoppers

  • Nics gates!!!

  • Even tho the gates lower slowley, its nice to see them activated before the train gets there. For the activation, how far away should they be from the crossing in order for it to turn on before it gets near it, like in real life?

  • Very nice impressive. Now add some cantilevers and it will really look spiffy

  • It would have sounded alot better with a Saftran Type 1 Bell.

  • awsome!

  • good job ...! I made my own crossing lights actuated by a photocell and light flasher (led) from an old MR electronics projects book.Check it out on my channel!!!

  • Am I correct at seeing 26 cars? How seeing the HO version is just as cool as seeing it in real life. Pretty bitchin' man. nice job

  • very realistic well done! Please tell me where you got those hoppers from - beginning at wagon 12.

    Thanks

  • finally a signal that goes before the train gets there. AWESOME JOB!!

  • Very realistic and cool, I seen some of these at my local hobby shop, one question does the gate motor come seperate? I assume you also have to buy the detection circuitry as well.

  • @trainman1986 MTH just came out with some HO gates that has everything included at a good price, I forget the price, but what comes with the package is pretty reasonable... You get the motors, the detection kit, and the sound under $150 I believe... Don't quote me on it though!

  • LOVE IT! Great work!!!

  • It looks like the signals are NJ International and the sound/detection unit is from Logic Rail. Great vid!

  • Awesome What Kind Of Crossing Is That Or How Did You Make It?

  • If I had those signals, I would add LEDs on the gates. Then that would be the perfect railroad signal

  • That is awesome!!! Got to get me a set of those. 5*****

  • that would be true

  • That is ho scale

  • Most realistic model gates and signals I have seen! Where did you get them? This looks to be O Guage, am I correct?

  • put this crossing in a layout or something

  • The NJ International gates aren't too bad I suppose. They still lack the awesome gate flashing lights of the Signalogic units but I suppose I'll have to give these a go. I especially love the accurate prototypical functions of the bell and lights as they stop when the gates begin going up and not after.

  • The Nj international ones don't have sound. Where did he get the bell? Is this the CustomSignals Bell-1?

  • It's of the goοdest level crossing models

  • very nice good job.

  • Very lifelike. Nice gates.

  • Those are some awsome crossings! Where did you get them and how do you set them up?

  • no bells

  • Love the crossing lights and bells.

They look realistic. Unlike the super fast model train lights.

  • cool video!!! mind if I ask what scale the train is?

  • wow very awesome, looks very real great job!

  • yeah i agree the gates lookin fuckin sick man! def look real!

  • I like the bell sound

  • Awesome! Love the realistic speed action of the gates as well!

  • I saw the title, and thumbnail. I thought, "there's no way that's a model, looks too real." that's awesome. Nice work

  • Awesome video, thanks for sharing. I love the trains and some of these days, I will be setting my massive collection in the basement. Now I have to get me one of those signal crossings, have not seen any around on e-bay. Austin.

  • Im also intrested in who makes those gates/signals.

  • its N.J. International

  • those are really realistic sounding and looking

  • Fantastic! What make of signals/gates are those?

  • Excuse me what happened to the SD 90s antenna , horn ,and the hand rails, their missing, nice train set, I take it this is HO scale. I sure luv the two CSX 2 bay covered hoppers!! Thanks for sharing this great clip.

  • Long train! lol..and dont the morons know they arent supposed to stop on the tracks? Similar to the SRY in Surrey BC

  • Man Ive always wanted one of those!!! I love crossing gates & thier configuration!!

  • those are insayne!!!! and for HO too? thats crazy scale!!!

  • what kind of car was that right after the engines? o and can the signals be controlled w/ the controller?

  • nice crossing signals

  • Well you'r'e right then :P

  • Well, maybe I've seen others then you :P

  • They are even too fast! Have you never seen those gates in real? This is so fantastic!!

  • Nice flashers! Do they have a wig-wag signal like that? Thanx fur sharin'!

  • i think there nji HO Crossing Gate Signals w/4 LEDs

  • nice set i'm ordering a set just like that very nice

  • wow ! nice !!

  • So real, gotta rate 5 stars, BTW that train is very long lol

  • where did you find such realistic crossing signals like that

  • Very nice! Anyone who is a CP Rail fan is all right in my book!:)

  • Very Cool Railroad Crossings & Layout!!!

  • hay! I got that MP boxcar (it's the secnd car).

  • nice job! those look real and the train was great.

  • does it know wen its coming

  • kurwa this kurwa pociąg was kurwa so long kurwa :O awsome kurwa!

  • where did you get the crossing gates? great video

  • Awesome video! You did a very good job

  • awesome video you got there. 5 stars

  • nice CEFX unit you got there, i see those thing a fair bit up in canada

  • Nice crossing gates and layout! 5/5!

  • Sweet video

  • echt geil

  • are those tomar crossing gates?

    omg gotta have em

  • Where can you get this?????What website???? I NEED IT!!!!!!please reply ASAP!!!!!!!

  • thats awesome, it would be perfect if you had a sound equipped loco

  • the gates go down really slow

  • Nice SD90/43 Mac I have the exact same unit, how do you like it? I love mine!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Those are the most realistic gates i have ever seen! awesome!

  • OMG those are aweome. That is like one of the best model crossing gate videos on YouTube, I like the close up view! 5 stars!

  • Very nice!

  • Also how did you mount the switch machine??

  • just a Tortoise under the benchwork. 0.015 wire attached directly to switch machine. I recommend getting a SwitchMaster switch machine ( more torque)

  • Cool...what linkages did you use?

  • What website can you get it from!!!!please tell me!

  • Can the lights be ajusted to stay on until the gates go all the way up??

  • unfortunately not.

  • Ok...

  • These are the most realistic signals ive seen on youtube.. the gates have the right speed going up and down! Great video

  • Thanks for the great comments.

The gates are made by NJ International, the controller is by Grade crossing Pro and the bell sound unit is by ITT.Gates are controlled by Tortoises by I recommend getting a Switch Master switch machine. All these are available from Jim's Model Trains on Ebay.

  • can you send me a name and description of the flasher system for the lights? cause I have teh EXACT same ones(crossing lights)

  • I second that emotion!!! Great job on the crossing gate and signals. I understand about the bell volume....I have a city section planned where there is about 2 or 3 grade crossings and all of them will be protected by crossing gates. I can imagine the sound of a train tripping all of them at the same time. That is my question too, who is the manufacturer of the signals or did you scratch build them?

  • Nice job with those signals. They work better than most I've seen. What controller did you use?

  • KOOL!!! Hope to see from you.

  • Wow !! Great looking gates and incredible realism. I think the timing is perfect! Thanks for sharring.

  • the bell sound effects are pretty faint. Otherwise great signals!

  • the bell sound volume can be turned up to the point where it becomes anoying. Had it turned down when I filmed video.

  • what company makes those they are awsome
