It's faster than I expected. Obviously,you can barely play games on it,but for Web and office stuff it's fine. The hard drive is fast and it boots up in only about 30 seconds. 720P video on YouTube works fine, as long as you don't have a lot of other things running too.

This model was discontinued though, and is now hard to find at good price. Amazon used to sell for $1240 or so, but they are sold out. I think one place still sells for $1800, but that's a high price for this.

You guys are gay. A mac and a pc can do all of the same things, including finger gestures. Mac copies PC, PC copies Mac. They make eachother better. We have a XPS Studio 13 and a MacBook Pro 13. Neither one is really better than the other. I personally prefer the XPS w/win 7 (cuz it has a dual graphics card) but they are both screaming fast. If you know anything about computers, its hard to say one is better than the other.

LIke I said, they are both quality os's, but in response to your comment, if mac was so awesome and did everything, then it wouldnt need to run windows. Microsoft doesnt need to make a virtual mac os environment since 90% of the world uses windows. On the other hand, mac needs it to cater to the business world that has specialized software that only runs on a pc. Buying a mac just so you can run windows is a waste of money in my mind.

Although it is impressive how thin it is, I think they've gone a bit too far at making it thin. There is pretty much no benefit of the thinness left! It seems they have pretty much made way too many compromises to get it as thin as it is. Somewhere around the .8 inch to 1 inch marker seems to be the sweet spot for thin without TOO much compromise.

Still an interesting machine though I think.

Actually, the Macbook Air is quite a bit thicker at the middle. It just looks as thin as it does because the edges are thinned out. This is just as thin as the edges through and through. And it's a much better deal in terms of hardware.
