  • nice

  • Hi everyone!! I'm trying to learn about hinduism.. I vaguely remember my father playing this when I was a child.. but what is the meaning, and why this chat? And is there a sequence to which chant comes first? My grandma said that I should also chant the aditya hirudayam.. so which one comes first in the morning? Can someone e-mail me please please please?

  • Nice. Amazing. This is actually sanskrit sloka. So each sloka has its sequence number

  • Beautiful Mantra.

  • Thank you for the upload!!!

  • Thank you for uploading the video.

  • so nice stotra

  • good video!!!!!!!

  • everyday i used to wake to this song in my home..i miss my village ...

  • Sanskrit, the language of the Gods, the First language on planet earth and the mother or all languages, my salutations..

  • @babanachiket : i wish and dream one day we shall talk in Sanskrit not in English, at least we Indians, can we make it really i wonder if we do it one day, its the beauty

  • @srish4ever There is a sanskrit university setup in Gujarat, perhaps when i retire, i ll go learn there or send my kid there. i am a brahman and my grandfatther spoke sanskrit fluently

  • @Masalanyc-i think the thumbs down came from someone disagreeing about the language comment.

@Iseeking: you are looking for the Stotram which is 3.11. it should be in the right hand column

  • There was a continuation of this as part-2. I can't find it now, please post the link here or in the info section.

  • Thank you for posting this...

  • @314159265352 Whats the number all about? Is it related to Snaskrit or this song?

  • @KolllywoodTV, My youtube id is actually value of mathamatical constant pi (minus the decimal). PI is the ratio of circumference and diameter of the circle and so far it seems to have zillions of decimal places with no ending in sight....

  • Thanks...I was trying to remember that.

  • ANd thanks for the subrabhatam too. I have mugged up Kandha Shashti before and that seems to be easier than this definitely.

  • @314159265352 Kind of like how the Lord has no ending in sight.

  • @314159265352 the 2 should be an 8. ; )

  • @hersheybar11, you are absolutely right, but I did not get this ID.

  • thank you for uploading this...i'm trying to learn suprabhatam and this was really helpful. :-)

  • Dear Mr. Pi,

Thanks for posting this and esp. for the scrolling lyrics. By the way, shouldn't your name end in a 9 instead of a 2?

    Thanks again.

  • Lord Venkateshwara or balaji is Lord Narayana himself at Tirumala, which is known as Kaliyuga Vaikuntha. This Suprabhatam is basically Sanskrit mostly sung to wake up lord in the morning. After suprabhatam there are 3 other songs sung in 3 Souh Indian lanugages Telugu, Tamil and Kannada by the Pandits.

  • yes you are entirely correct - thanks for your comment

(and why are people giving this a thumbs down?)

  • @Aus1605 Jai Sriman Narayana! Thank you for stating that Tirumala is the Kali yuga Vaikuntham. Everyone needs to remember that Sri Venkatesha is the Kali yuga Murti or the Divine form of Vishnu that everyone MUST surrender to in this age of Kali. Mangalasanams to you!

  • thanks for the clarification

  • People are confused because the SCRIPT of the letters in the opener is a Telugu script. The lyrics themselves are Sanskrit.

  • This version is definitely SANSKRIT! I studied Sanskrit and understand a great deal of it, and I do not speak a word of Telegu!

  • thank you also - & again why does this have thumbs down???

  • if you feel any one comments is appropriate or is not required here then you can click on thumbs down it will show rating in negative marks

  • I agree w/pradskir - it is an entrancing devotional. I always thought it was in Tamil - this is the same song my frieds use for devotion and they speak Tamil. ( I knoe that Tamil & Telegu are similiar but are they that similiar?)

  • Tamil and telugu are dissimilar when it comes to functors. They share some content words, with some phonemic differences.

  • @masalanyc all the south indian languages derive from Tamil although ome idiots dont understand or accept it..all the north indian languages derive from Sanskrit. Hence, the similarities.

  • It's hypnotic. It reminds me of the moments when climbing the hill for Tirumala, this voice echoes all over the place. The sun is rising and it is pure heaven.

  • Do North Indians know suprabhatam at all? Is it ever recited there? Just curious

  • @zebra11511 It was actually created in north east India in the city of Kashi. :-)

  • @babanachiket

thanks!! didnt know about that . .

  • @zebra11511 pls dont fight over north and south india ...........we are one --- INDIA

  • @zebra11511 Namaste. I don't think we recite this much. But there are other divine sufi ,sikh and vedic chants which are prayers to same god.

  • @zebra11511 they're too busy making movies in london.. :P hahaha just kidding.

  • Its in Sanskrit

  • yes this is telugu....

  • may i know whether this suprapathm is in Sanskrit or Telugu?? :-)

  • s this is telugu..... even this song has been sung in kannada, malyalam, tamil. and few more...

  • mmm yea man i have a tamilzh version. Thankks.

  • Not Telugu. Sanskrit.

  • Sanskrit.

  • This is in sanskrit; since many telugu folks are familiar with it, they think it is telugu. One decisive factor is: look at the inflections in this, they are all of sanskrit.

  • Thanks

  • ratknish: because "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do."

    -Benjamin Franklin

  • i might be mistaken, but i think suprabhatam means good morning and it's used to wake up Hindu gods for their daily worship

  • It is a song in Sanskrit... requesting Lord Venkatesh to wake up in the morning and cast his blessings on all...

Tav Suprabhatam = Good morning to you...

  • @58irhs Tava Suprabhatam = Your (Lord's) Suprabhatam, good morning (to you) = tubhyam suprabhatam (literally) or else just namaskaram / suprabhatam (informally)

  • Very nice! I have just been transported to transcendental place before time and all that exists within it ever existed. These prayers are truly divine and when one hears them the listener is both purified and enlightened. There is no comparison between the vedanta and any other belief system or religion on earth. You Tube has just been perfected.

  • thank you for the lyrics

  • Listen to this suprabhatam every morning your day goes good.

  • MS. Subalaxmi has done her job. Not Only the Prayer is in Ancient Sanskrit the Music used is ONLY of 3 sound basis. Not 7.

  • Thank you for the explanation of X mark, but I will assure you that it is like a sign for me as it is a sacred symbol here in Mesoamerica, it is the old map of the continent.

I just went through some things, and put this on as prayer, and as I thought something the X came up, and I take it as a sign of blessing comfort just with the timing as these praises of the Lord soothe it and heal this soul.

    OM

  • Excellent prayer.

  • om namo narayanaya namah

  • you are completely wrong, where did you hear this. Lord Venkateshwara is Vishnu avatar. When sage Bhrigu kicks Lord Vishnu in chest for not noticing him, Sri Mahalakshmi takes offence (as she resides in Vishnu's chest) and decends to Earth. Lord Vishnu comes to earth in search of her and to pacify her. You can learn more about this in detail in Wikipedia.

  • Ha ha haa so what do you say apart from Brahama vishnu and Shiva ,Venkateshwara is a fourth god or a Demi God

Get life Venkateshwara is Maha Vishnu ok

  • Lord Indra is an example for a demigod.

Lord Venkateswara is a re-incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is an avatar of the Lord.

  • For all interested- there are just thre devas- Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. all the other god are reincarnations.

    Just like the holy Trinity.

  • i listen to this everyday, i am a brahmin from canada :-) and i have already learnt half , now only half to go :) yeah ! i listen to this everyday 3 times ! the subtitles are awesome...

PREACH GOD, BUT DON' ASK ANY FAVOR FROM HIM...NACHIKET
