@thebugguy212 maybe the sti could have just a few more horsepower stock. but the lancer has a rapid fire dual clutch automatic transmission. it spends more time engaged into gear than the sti would.

actually corzy666 i believe you are wrong the dual overhead cams are far more powerful. They provide the Lancer evolution with 60 psi boost from the turbos and the chiceknto pistons add a good 200 horsepower and then you have the stage 4 turbo that they have. In the end the STI has about 195 horsepower and the lancer has 812

Thats the 2.5 version STi, the Jap spec 2.0 would whip the EVO. Funny how it Launched quicker than the Scooby, i've never been able to Launch an EVO off the line, it always bogs.

This was years ago, this is not the 2.5 STI they came out in UK in 2006, that is the 265 bhp 03 version. And that EVO is the FQ 300 or FQ 320 its not the standard 276 BHP one.

lol, odd how the mitsubishi did so much damn better than the sti. I'm surprised. I know mitsis are faster but that seemed like a fairly large gap.
