Crosby and Ovechkin got long careers ahead of them, wo none knows yet, but at this moment they are nowhere near forsberg.

When forsberg was best, he was the best player in the world no doubt, better than Jagr better than gretzky better than pretty much everyone (all around player ofc, not in defense or pure goal maker etc)

I think Ovechkin is a better goal scorer then Forsberg ever was but he don't have the same ability to read the play and control the puck as Forsberg. And Crosby very good player haven't seen him in a while so i can't compare them atm

Forsberg is more of a goal creator with load of assists, like the season when he won the scoring league, he had 29 goals and 77 assists, when ovechkin more or less have the opposite goal/pass ratio

@newjerseydev 10th PPG all time, Impressive stat is 4th in assists all time, But he played so little, He was only capable of playing in one full season and that was rookie year, which was also his best statistical season. He only scored two 30 goal seasons, 30 exactly each year. His Internation career is impressive as is the fact that he has won cups, But to say he is anywhere near as good as 66 is laughable. Or 4 or 99 or 19 for that matter. The fact you are from Canada means nothing really

I'm a huge forsberg fan. I wouldn't put him in the top 3 of all time, but he's definately in the top 10. He ranks #3 behind Gretzky and Lemuix in "assists per game" career and #6 (also behind Howe and Hull) in "points per game". Also ranks #1 in "points per game" career if you start in 1995. And #2 in +/- since 1995 (+234) which speaks volumes about his defense abilities too. 'nuff said
