my moms friend was schizophrenic so one day he didn't take his pills in a few days and went off the deep end, thought the planes where flying too low so he threw a tv out of a 18 story window , threw all the rest of his stuff out the window after ... this included a ton of hardcore porn magazines which rained very close to a catholic school and it took 6 cops to arrest him. long story short he went into a retirement home

i have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar and i havn't had voices like these but have had conversations with people and what i hear is not what they were acutually saying but something along the lines of my paranoid delusion at that time same as when i watch tv for example the news presenter seemed high and was making racist remarks but i knew that wasn't right

@beckasha83 no... the voices present themselves because of extreme paranoia. it's a completely irrational and uncontrollable manifestation, as are the other symptoms. it's just psychosis. it's just one (and the most common) of the symptoms.

i am a schizo since 1994.i often go to therapy,which is ESSENTIAL....also i was on meds from 96 when i had a "violent"episode till around about 4 years ago.i took myself off them since my condition hadnt improved with the meds .i took all kind of meds ranging from EN to abilify.my doctor thinks that i am taking them.i am ok.i dont act strange, but at times i hear these voices that speak of ABRAHAM,SATAN,NAZIS AND MY DELUSIONS.i am going to have to be brave next month and perahps tell the doc.bye

Yes, it is pretty fucking disturbing. They do a decent job of painting the picture in regards to some aspects. Like it more or less says at the end, each case is different than each other case. This sim seems to cover auditory and visual hallucinations, some delusions (TV people talking to you), but these are only a portion of the symptoms. Indeed it can be worse than this video could ever show you.

This is extremely accurate, to be just a representation of a schitzophrenic episode. When an event occurs to us, we think in our minds the the entire wolrd is out to get us, especially those closest to us. My brother developed schitzphrenia in 1996 at the age of 21, and I developed it in November 2006 at the age of 31. It is somewhat treatable but uncurable.

Everyone has their own version of the illness, no two are exactly the same.

One of my quirks is paintings and photographs & having the mouths animate slightly & speak, I've always wondered if I was the only one..

My last major episode I heard some voices, but mostly was a sound of a music box turning over a few notes, about 4 or 5 then it would go silent. Most prominent was visual hallucinations seeing people doing things that they weren't doing, some people turned into demonic looking entities others turn into glowing angel like people with surrounding auras. Now that I'm out of it I find the experience fascinating but at the time I had no idea anything was wrong which lead to very strange behaviour

For ages, and I think a lot of people do, I've just shrugged schitzophrenia and the way it effects others off as "one of those things that happen to one of those people". Upon realizing that's not the case, I've had trouble dealing with it.
