  • Love it, would love even more if it would be little longer :)

  • FANTASTIC! One of my favourite tunes from that old flick.

  • que bello instrumento!!! que bella melodia!!! la mayoria se equivoca y lo relaciona con el huayno sucio xD pero es de verdad muy lindo aunque este es algo diferente(arpa) ...

  • amazing sound!

  • would sound nicer when in tune...

  • @chrisgroove100 - maybe it's in equal temperament, which is not how ancient harps were tuned! :) The beat frequencies across the bandwidth sound (to me) consistent with that.

  • Goblets they carved there for themselves And harps of gold; where no man delves There lay they long, and many a song Was sung unheard by men or elves.

  • OMG! This is exactly why I want to learn to play music. I love Tolkien and have always wanted to learn to play something but was never interested in contemporary intruments like guitar, etc... After reading "The Hobbit" decades ago I was always enchanted by the dwarves playing their flutes, drums and most especially their harps! This video makes me want to learn now twice fold. Thank you very much for sharing this... it helps to give me a direction and purpose.

  • First I thought it was cool ancient music, in character & all, then I saw that it was Tolkien-related. Love Tolkien, but I like my ethnomusiclogy to be authentic.

I feel like I've been Dwarved. You Dwarved me out of a real experience with Druid music.

  • @planetery If you every happen to find yourself studying Tolkien, you'll realize the brilliance, and the knowledge he had of real-world ancient cultures and customs, including music. While it's not the same as what you're saying, it's not entirely fantastical either. The two intertwine in the most interesting places, language being only one of them.

  • Druid/Bard for sure! :-) He also makes these harps!!! Now that is skill!!!

  • Ah "Far Over the Misty Mountains old, to dungeons deep and caverns cold..."

  • very enchanting. great job

  • I think he's meant to be a Druid

  • @scottishboomerang @Jmtjeable He's supposed to be Thorin Oakenshield from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. The poem in the description is part of the Dwarves' song about their quest.

  • I love it, but my first thought was, WTF Dumbledore is playing harp 0.o

  • Loved it.

  • Beautiful, as expected.

  • A magical moment.

  • I like it. Sweet tone!

  • Beautiful soothing sound, but sooo short ;)

    Love and light, Tríona
